When a steel 205 Litre drum is 6 metres in the air, you can't reach the handle to empty it.

A nuclear site came to us with a problem. They needed to tip 205-litre steel drums into large waste containers - but the drums had to be lifted by overhead cranes to significant heights. Once elevated, any manual rotation mechanism would be completely out of reach.

Standard mobile drum tippers often rely on manual handles. Fine at ground level, impossible at height. We designed a bespoke solution for the task.

The DRE05 remote drum tipper attachment is secured at ground level before the drum ever leaves the floor. Once the crane lifts it to height, operators control everything from a safe distance via wireless remote pendant controller.

Battery-powered. Electric motor-driven rotation. Precise control over tipping angle. No one needs to be near the drum when hazardous dust or vapours might escape.

We've seen it on production lines everywhere. Operators using pallet trucks to get drums close, then manually pushing and heaving them into position. It works, until someone's back gives out.

The gap between what's expected and what's safe is where injuries happen.
