Baby Basics is a charity which aims to provide much needed baby essentials for needy and vulnerable families. We work with healthcare professionals to provide beautiful starter packs for new parents/mothers, which contain clothing toiletries and essential baby equipment. Baby Basics Leeds is a volunteer-led project based out of St Paul's Church, Ireland Wood and in partnership with many other chur

ches and organisations around Leeds. If you would like to donate, we are in need of the following:

If you have any good quality seconds of the below:
* Moses basket
* Moses basket sheets
* Baby towels
* Toys (suitable for newborns)
* Muslin squares
* Baby blankets & sleeping bags
* Newborn clothes (size 0-6 months) inc. hats, mittens, socks

Or if you could add some items to your weekly shop: (these must be unopened)
* Maternity pads
* Sudocream
* Baby wipes
* Baby soap
* Baby shampoo
* Shampoo for mum
* Deodorant
* Cotton wool
* Breast pads
* Nappies (size 0/1/2)
* Toothbrush & paste for mum
* Chocolate/treats for mum

Today we celebrate all our fabulous midwives. They work so hard with busy schedules whether in hospital or in community and their work goes beyond what most people see.

We are currently short of:

* Baby baths
* Mum and baby toiletries
* 0-3month boy and unisex jumpers
* Moses baskets and stands
* Baby bibs

It you have any or know someone who does please drop off to us! Or can you check out your local charity shop/ Facebook marketplace for us? Can you pick up an extra toiletry with your grocery shop?
Please drop off to St Pauls Church, Ireland Wood, LS16 6BS. Drop off is on Sunday mornings or Monday - Thursday between 10-2. Attached is our list of accepted items as well as clothing up to 12 months. Please only donate requested items and from our list in good clean condition. If able to sort and label clothing donations by size that would be a big help! We unfortunately don't have space to store bulky or not listed items.

🌟 A massive thank you to the amazing team from Lansinoh Family who joined us last Monday and helped pack an incredible 41 bundles!πŸŽ‰

Each bundle includes a selection of clothing for babies aged 3–6, 6–9, and 9–12 months, plus a toothbrush and toothpaste – providing practical support and a little joy to those who need it most. Their help means we can complete referrals more quickly and focus on other important tasks. We’re so grateful!πŸ™Œ

Thank you to all our supporters and a special shout out to our fantastic volunteers! Here’s a rare picture of the WHOLE team gathered - what an amazing bunch that work together to help get the referrals out every week (amongst many other commitments!) Thank you!🀩

Please note St Paul’s is closed for donations except during services until 5/1/26. Then resumes to be open for donation drop offs as usual Sunday mornings or Monday - Thursday between 10-2. Thanks for your continued support! πŸ’›
