Here’s a look at the cake I made for Kamelah Fernandez book launch.
I was very excited to be asked to make a book themed cake and I have filmed a behind the scenes look at how this one was made.
Congratulations to my friend Kamelah on her new book!
She picked the most gorgeous venue that was perfect for her launch.
It was really nice to be able to catch up with my lovely Cake friends (who are you guys might recognise as the talented volunteers that help me each year on my stand at Cake International).

Here’s a look at the Tina turner bust cake I was asked to create for the cake decorating magazine CakeArtMagazine.
Id like to say a huge thank you to Carla Puig for everything I’ve learnt in her bust classes. I’ve been lucky enough to attend a few of Carla’s classes over the years and have picked up so many skills from her that have helped me create life like bust Cakes :)

Who remembers when I made a life-size centaur?
I made her for Cake international a few years ago …. And it’s about that time of year again to start planning out what I’ll be making for this years cake show! As I have two life size models to create this time.
When I made the centaur originally the plan was for me to make two figures, but I think that might have been me being a bit too ambitious as I only had time and space to make 1!

I do have a video on making this and it explains why I used polystyrene and not real cake inside her.
Also did you notice her hair style change from the original one I gave her, to the one she ended up with at cake internal?

Thank you to everyone that watched my latest video.
I wanted to create something quick and fun using some chocolate mini rolls that I had in from the supermarket.
I thought the Bluey characters would be perfect for this as their body shapes were just right for the mini Swiss rolls and I knew my niece would love them.
Although they were not as quick to decorate as I had thought they would be so I ended up with considerably fewer characters than I had planned. Can you see who is missing ? 🐾
Its not the first time I’ve had a go at turning Bluey characters into cake scroll to end pictures to see my Hammerbarn themed cake as well as Bluey as a full sized Swiss rolls 💙
