Vw transporter in for a oil leak investigation and a timing belt & water pump replacement.

We quickly found the oil leak to be the crankshaft seal on the timing belt side which is very common on the common rail engines.

So it was a perfect scenario that the customer was having his timing belt & water pump done because to replace the seal you must remove the timing belt to access it.

So a new crankshaft seal was fitted along with OE timing belt & water pump kit from INA.

The van is now back up and running leak free and worry free from any risks of timing belt failure.

Vw transporter one of our technicians has been working on recently.

This one was booked in for a clutch and flywheel replacement. Which we did using a valeo modular kit.

While upon removing the flywheel he noticed that the crankshaft seal was leaking so we swapped that out with a new one using the correct tools for the job.

He also found the rocker cover to be leaking too from the front left corner which is a common place for these to go. So while we had it in we got that swapped out for a new one so the customer wouldn’t have any future issues or leaks.

This one came in to us with a coolant pump fault which turned out to be the electronic water pump failure which is common on these cars.

Old belt and water pump removed. New schaeffler_repxpert kit fitted including new tensioner & idler studs.
