Portakabin needed to periodically remove a heavy anvil component from one of their on-site DIMECO machines.

Manual handling wasn’t an option given the weight, so the team had been using standard forklift forks.

The problem was oil. Residue on the anvil’s surface meant the load wouldn’t sit securely – it would shift and slip unpredictably during transport. For operators moving a heavy component around an active site, that’s a real safety concern. Standard off-the-shelf attachments couldn’t solve it either – the job needed something built around the load!

A customer needed drilled fork positioner forks... but only had the blade length to go on. 🤔

Other suppliers were asking for make/model/serial numbers and detailed drawings before they’d quote. We didn’t. We asked for the fork section and a few photos of the forks on the truck, then got a quote back the same day.

The truck was already off the road for an overhaul, so we arranged collection of the existing forks to use as a drilling sample and even reused the existing spigot on the rear of the forks to save them money.

Unsurprisingly the customer was delighted with the service and turnaround.
