🚧 Project Spotlight: Etches Park 🚧

Cairn Cross successfully delivered a comprehensive safety and access improvement scheme at Etches Park, working within a live rail depot environment for Transport for Wales

The project included the design, supply, and installation of GRP walkways, low-level LED lighting, concrete path edge lining, and safety signage, enhancing visibility, improving accessibility, and strengthening overall site safety.

Delivering works in an operational depot requires careful planning, coordination, and a strong focus on safety, something our team takes pride in on every project.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Cairn Cross, we believe the mental health and wellbeing of our people is paramount. Creating a culture where individuals feel supported, heard, and valued is at the heart of what we do.

We are proud to support incredible organisations making a real difference within our industry and communities, including the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, which provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families, and Andy’s Man Club, helping to break the stigma around men’s mental health.

We also continue to support our local communities, recognising that mental health matters everywhere — on site, in the office, and at home.

Works are well underway on our Wigan Wash Down Facility with an Automated Under-Frame Wash System for Network Rail, with construction progressing since September 2025.

This multi-disciplinary scheme showcases the full breadth of Cairn Cross capabilities, including:

✔️ Pit construction & drainage systems
✔️ Structural steel & cladding
✔️ Superstructure delivery
✔️ P-Way works
✔️ Water tank, mains water & power supply
✔️ Mechanical works & electrical fit-out
