Working in copper mines can be extremely challenging due to the harsh environments and highly corrosive elements involved.

Blaze was requested to design, supply and install a fire suppression system in a highly remote location within a live copper mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Due to the highly corrosive environment, the solution had to be assembled by hand tools and delivered without the need for multiple visits.

We routinely work with clients to establish existing levels of deluge protection, future needs and identify remedial actions to optimise their firewater deluge systems.

This was highlighted when we were approached by a client who had an ageing asset in terms of design life. Components had degraded and corroded over time. Replacement of the whole existing deluge system was required without imposing downtime for plant or production.
