Revisiting an Early Build

This week, we carried out a survey, maintenance service and report on our first-ever RotoDock install in . These heavy-use pontoons are now over 10 years old and still in good shape, with just a few minor repairs needed!

Gangway Replacement, Lee Valley White Water Centre

Lee Valley White Water Centre wanted to replace the 1.5m x 5.7m gangway for their inflatable obstacle course pontoon as it sustained some damaged from high use.

This week, the WMS team removed the old gangway and secured a brand-new PE gangway with aluminium handrails, all ready for the centre’s visitors.

Amphitheatre, Telford

This July, we replaced the old wooden stage at Telford Town Park Amphitheatre. We used large modular floatation units, which will have a much longer lifespan than the previous wooden platform. We assembled the units out on the lake then manoeuvred the platform into place using our RIB.

The units have a load capacity 350kg/sqm so will be perfect for holding large performances.

The amphitheatre reopened on 18th July to great success, and we hope Telford can continue to host all sorts of live shows on its new floating stage!

Fixed Jetties, Walthamstow

This month, the WMS team installed 8 fixed jetties on 4 different lakes in Walthamstow. The jetties will be used as great little fishing spots for the public.

The jetties were decked using Cladco Profiles composite decking, making them both attractive and durable.

Splash Pool, Marlow

This June, WMS installed a new splash pool at Westhorpe Watersports in Marlow.

The pool was made from modular floatation units and accessories, creating a safer way for people, especially children, to enjoy a dip in the lake.

These units create a very stable, robust and long-lasting pontoon system. With a load capacity of 350kg/sqm, they are a versatile option for flatwater locations, including marinas. We also use them as floatation units for our Decked Pontoons.
