EV charger installation completed ⚡️✅

Hypervolt Home 3 finished in Ultra White⚪️

This installation was supplied via a dedicated FuseBox EV consumer unit incorporating a 32A Type A RCBO together with integrated open PEN conductor protection, providing automatic disconnection in the event of a supply fault condition in accordance with current EV charging regulations.

We installed EV Ultra cable throughout, allowing both power and CT monitoring conductors to be contained within a single cable for load balancing and dynamic load management.

The charger was also hardwired directly to the client’s internet network via Ethernet connection to ensure maximum reliability and stable smart functionality rather than relying solely on WiFi signal strength.

Really pleased with the overall finish on this one - neat and tidy, exactly as it should be.

Fully tested, inspected and certified in accordance with BS 7671.

That’s us wrapped up on the first phase of our Glasgow job — all our metal containment now installed and ready to go 💪

We’re extremely proud of this one so far. It’s been a great job to get stuck into and everything’s coming together exactly how we like it.

Everything’s been installed with precision — neat, level, and built to last 👌

Another Job Complete ✅⚡

We were recently asked to carry out a range of electrical upgrades throughout this beautiful property in Lanark, helping make the home safer, more practical, and adding a modern lighting finish throughout.

✅ 2 x External wall lights installed at the front door
✅ New external flood lighting to illuminate the driveway
✅ Lighting added within the attic space
✅ LED strip lighting above kitchen units
✅ LED strip lighting along the decorative dado rail
✅ LED strip lighting installed to bookshelf feature
✅ Existing dimmer switches replaced with reliable rocker switches

A nice feature on this job was the LED strip lighting installed along the decorative dado rail, controlled via a new wireless RF switch. This meant we could add lighting control without chasing walls or running extra cables — a clean, modern solution with minimal disruption to the home.

The external lighting now properly lights up the driveway area, making everyday tasks like taking bins out safer and easier — especially during darker evenings.

We also installed attic lighting so the homeowners are no longer fumbling around in the dark when accessing stored belongings.

The LED feature lighting has completely transformed the feel of the property, adding a clean modern finish and replacing temporary rechargeable lights with a permanent professional solution.

Sometimes it’s the smaller upgrades that make the biggest difference to how a home looks and functions.

🚨 DIY electrical work 🚨

We attended an emergency call out after a homeowner upgraded all their light switches to new decorative chrome ones themselves.

Sounds simple enough

Unfortunately when the power was turned back on, this wasn’t the case

❌The kitchen lights had to be ON for the hall lights to work
❌Turning the sitting room lights ON switched the bedrooms OFF
❌bathroom switch tripping the breaker when turned on

After removing the switches, I discovered incorrect wiring and extremely poor terminations, including a connector block sparking and arcing inside the wall (as seen in the video)

This is a genuine fire risk🤯🔥

Electrical work isn’t just matching colours or copying what was there before. Modern lighting circuits can be complex, and one wrong connection can quickly make an installation unsafe

✅ Fault diagnosed
✅ Wiring corrected
✅ Installation made safe

All sorted within 15 minutes of arrival ⏰✅
