CRK Engineering are proud to have delivered the metalwork package for the restoration of Hull’s historic National Picture Theatre on Beverley Road.

The Grade II listed building was badly damaged during the Hull Blitz in 1941 and has remained as an important part of the city’s wartime history ever since. Following an extensive restoration, the site will now reopen as a memorial, education and community space.

Working on a building with this level of history brings its own challenges, with the new metalwork having to integrate carefully with the retained and restored historic structure.

A great project to have been involved with and one the CRK team can be proud of.

I came across a standout project from a few years ago that I realised I hadn't shared.

It was an iconic Disney theme feature wall entrance designed for both adults and children to enter the stores cafe, which CRK fully manufactured in-house and installed. While the project presented several unique learning curves for myself and our team, the final product was faultless. We don’t often see projects of this specific nature, and it remains one of our most iconic builds to date.

It serves as a great reminder of the bespoke manufacturing capabilities we offer here at CRK Engineering, another great job 🤝🤝

The CRK engineering team completed a recent design, manufacture and installation access ramp project; a rigours design consultation ensured the client-specific requirements were all met, and the anti-slip grp flooring was provided by Ruben Reynolds at Blue Diamond, a great company to deal with.

We are happy to share the successful completion of our recent eight-month contract manufacturing project. During this period, we produced nearly 200 units of 316-grade stainless steel divest tops. These units are intended for use in various airports throughout the UK.

Each unit required 18 hours of fabrication, TIG welding, and multi-stage polishing. As a result, the final products are aesthetically pleasing and free of imperfections. Delivering this project on time and within budget was a testament to our team's hard work and dedication.

Earlier this year, we successfully completed a glass balustrade project for a care home that showcases both functionality and aesthetics. The installation featured robust 4-inch diameter stainless steel posts, crafted from high-quality 316 grade material, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. Complementing these posts, we utilized 19mm toughened glass panels, which not only enhance the visual appeal of the space but also provide safety and security for residents and visitors alike.

The entire installation spanned approximately 60 meters, and I’m pleased to report that the project was managed meticulously by Rich, who ensured everything was completed on time and within budget. We encountered very few issues during the installation process, resulting in a snag-free outcome that met all expectations.

A special shout-out goes to Kwik Tuff in Hull for their exceptional service. Their communication was faultless throughout the project, and their timely delivery of the glass materials was crucial to our success.

Overall, this project was another triumph for our team, highlighting our commitment to quality and satisfaction. Well done to everyone involved!
