Storeperson working in our office based in Hull.

Duties;

Goods Receipt
• Assist with the unloading of deliveries
• Ensure all goods are appropriately receipted and signed for
• Ensure goods delivered are assigned to the appropriate kits or placed in the correct stock location
• Pick up goods from suppliers
Dispatch
• Assist with the loading of goods to be dispatched
• Assist with ensuring final orders are correctly packaged
• Delivery of equipment
Stock
• Ensure orderly and tidy stock locations
• Ensure a sufficient stock level of critical parts
• Assist with the completion of stock taking as and when required
Workshop and Yard Maintenance
• Ensure facility equipment are kept clean and in good working condition
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment
Local vessels in dock
• Visit local ships
• Sourcing equipment for the ships engineers as required.

Motors:
• Dealing with electric motor deliveries
Essential:
• Computer literacy especially Excel Sheets
• Good numeracy skills
• Able to work under own entitative
• Ability to work in a team
Desirable:
• Forklift licence and or experience using a forklift
• Working knowledge of Warehouse or stores system
• Health & Safety knowledge
• Experience in a manufacturing and or engineering environment.
Miscellaneous
• Work with other departments on site and external sites which may include: Labouring, driving or/and working with hand tools.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Store Assistant.
The Store Assistant will be responsible for customer service and inventory management. The Store
Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment in the yard, dealing with deliveries & dispatches and operating the forklift around the building.
Forklift training will be provided.

Qualifications
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of inventory management and visual merchandising
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands
• Training experience is a plus but not essential
• Clean and valid driving license
