The Role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially aware Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team in King’s Lynn. This is a key role within the business, requiring significant experience and a confident, professional approach.

You will fulfil the traditional duties of a Quantity Surveyor while also demonstrating a clear and thorough understanding of JCT and NEC contracts, including their administration.

Our turnover is primarily made up of:

Commercial projects as Principal Contractor

Civils and groundworks to commercial and residential schemes as Subcontractor

S278, S38 and S104 works as both Principal Contractor and Subcontractor

You will adopt a firm but fair approach, with a strong focus on building collaborative and professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of projects

Cost control, cost management, and cost planning

Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts

Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

Ensuring financial efficiency and accountability across projects

About You

You will be able to demonstrate:

Proven experience in Quantity Surveying / Estimating

Strong background in cost control, cost management, and cost planning

Proficiency in BOQs and cost reporting

Solid understanding of JCT & NEC contracts

Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience within civil engineering and groundworks (essential)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Engineer to join our team based in King’s Lynn. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent setting-out capability, and the confidence to manage engineering aspects of live sites.

You will work across a range of projects including:

Civil engineering and groundworks projects as Principal Contractor

Commercial and residential groundworks as Subcontractor

S278, S38 and S104 works as Principal Contractor and Subcontractor

You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme, working closely with site management, commercial teams, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Setting out for civil engineering and groundworks works

Managing and maintaining site control, levels, and surveys

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme

Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and clients

Checking and coordinating design information and drawings

Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

About You

You will be able to demonstrate:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering and groundworks

Strong setting-out skills using GPS, total station, and traditional methods

Good technical understanding of highways, drainage, foundations, and external works

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks on live sites

SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS (preferred)

Great end to the week - Another 7 CAT machines to add to our growing fleet of them. Been running the Next Gen 308s/309's for 5 years now and they don't miss a beat. These 308s/309s are all fitted with CAT Ease of Use - 2D Level and slope indicate and integrated slew and height restrictors . The 315s have Full 3D assists and payload. Just waiting on Steve Claybrook for the Leica integration now ........... Thanks for sorting these out Chris Beavan and Jack Forryan.
