Welder Fabricator Wanted

Evolution Engineering Systems Limited
We’re looking for a good all-round welder fabricator to join us, either on the books or as a self-employed subcontractor. Rates will depend on experience and qualifications.

We offer a varied mix of workshop fabrication and site work, so you must be willing and able to get stuck into both.

What to expect
Regular weekend work: You’ll need to do your fair share.

Early starts and late finishes: Longer-distance day trips are a regular part of our work, so you must be comfortable with early starts and getting home late.

Occasional working away: Mainly overnight stays, with some jobs requiring a week or more away a few times a year.

We do our best to plan ahead and give as much notice as possible.

For subcontractors, a CSCS card, forklift qualification and IPAF certification would be an advantage, but they aren’t essential.
If you’re reliable, flexible and a good all-rounder who enjoys varied work, we’d like to hear from you.

What a week for the team at Evolution Engineering Systems! 💪

With an extended team working across day and night shifts, we’ve just completed an annual shutdown for one of our customers—tackling a wide range of welding and maintenance jobs and putting in just shy of 600 hours of work between us.

A massive thank you to everyone involved. Your hard work, commitment and willingness to get stuck in made it happen. A proper team effort, and hugely appreciated! 👏

Our spider crane certainly earned its keep too, running 24/7 throughout the week. But somewhere along the way, we realised… it still hasn’t got a name! 🕷️

So, let’s name the spider!

5th call-out for our spider crane this week! 💪🏗️

Same day, same lift — it’s all about being reactive and supporting our customers when they need us most.

Two of this week’s call-outs also involved us taking complete control of the mechanical side of the job, allowing the client to focus on other priorities while we managed the lift, installation and associated works from start to finish.

This is exactly where having a multi-skilled team makes the difference — lifting, mechanical installation, fabrication and site support all under one roof.

I wish every week was like this one!

Old vs new 🔧

A quick turnaround on this replacement, as the damaged and unserviceable unit was holding up production.

The new stainless-steel unit was manufactured and installed with an upgraded flue system and improved access, making future cleaning and maintenance much easier.

Another job completed and production back up and running.

its been a week of breakdowns so far. 3 lots of spider crane action too. To keep plants moving 😀😀

Friday emergency breakdown support 🔥

Nothing like a last-minute challenge to put new equipment to the test.

We had an urgent requirement from a customer to cut down 20 x 15mm stainless steel plates as part of an emergency breakdown on a Friday.

Our new Jasic plasma cutter certainly earned its keep — cutting through the 15mm stainless like a hot knife through butter.

Definitely proving to be a worthwhile investment already and another useful capability we can offer in-house when customers need a fast turnaround.

At Evolution Engineering Systems, we understand that breakdowns don’t always happen at convenient times, so being able to react quickly, fabricate in-house and get customers moving again is a big part of what we do.

After the last month where personally I’ve done an insane amount of hours. I would really like to thank all the lads for the graft they have put it. We have over come several problems and issues and it’s got a bit tense. But as a team we’ve pulled through it well done team EVO I appriciate it So thank you all very much. Now let holiday season commence with us all having a little time off.

Here’s a crane lift we knocked out this week after a delayed delivery. Managed to get it around a weigh head aswell and carrying out a few mods after. For two wash stations of parts.

Our mutliskilled man Matt smashed out a months worth of shift cover 4 on 4 off and worked any free days

And the others smashed through a difficult installation and came out the other side of a load of workshop work and site work we can’t post

🎉 Today, Evolution Engineering Systems Limited turns 5! 🎉

Five years ago, we started with a vision to build a company known for quality, reliability, and hard work. Today, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.

From welding and fabrication to site maintenance, pipework, and spider crane hire, we’ve had the privilege of working with fantastic customers on projects large and small. Every challenge has helped shape who we are today.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our team, the loyalty of our customers, and the support of everyone who has believed in us along the way.

Five years is just the beginning. We remain committed to evolving, investing in our people, embracing new technologies, and continuing to deliver the high standards that Evolution Engineering is known for.

Very fast turn around on this one. When another company lets you down team evo steps in last minute with the spider crane. By not getting this beam in for the customer it was going to delay their extension quite bad. Straight off a night shift and on site with the crane to keep things moving.

Had a great evening last night watching the F2 stock cars. Great to see Harry Skoyles out on track, and our other car we sponsor Scott Aldridge taking the win in the final. And a great catch up with some friends. Top driving by all.
