Are you a young person looking to get your hands dirty and build a real career? We’re looking for a Trainee Fabricator to join our team here at StormFab Ltd.
No experience? No problem. If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll teach you the skills. This isn't just a "job"—it’s a chance to learn the art of metal fabrication from the ground up.
The Details:
Schedule: Starting at 3 days per week (perfect for balancing studies or easing into the trade).
Pay: We value hard work, so we’re paying above minimum wage.
Location: Kilmarnock
What you’ll be doing:
Learning to cut, grind, and prep metal.
Assisting our experienced fabricators on custom builds.
Keeping the workshop organized and safe.
Developing skills in welding and assembly over time.
What we’re looking for:
Reliability: You show up on time, every time.
Eagerness: You actually want to learn how things are made.
Safety-first mindset: You can follow instructions and respect the gear.

We love when we are asked the question "is this something Davie can make?"

The answer is usually yes! 🤣🤣

Last week we got asked if we could make an industrial whisk 🤔, of course the answer to this is yes, however, after discussing options with our client we realised it was much better to repair the one they already had, saving them both time and money.

Now the bakers at Del's Rolls are back doing what they do best, creating their fabulous cakes and treats. If you're in Prestwick and fancy a treat we highly recommend you pop in, their cakes are really rather delicious 😋.
