🚣‍♂️ From forklift trucks to the Atlantic Ocean!

Former FLTA Chairman Duncan Nealon is taking on the World's Toughest Row, rowing more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic alongside former rugby teammate Daz Ariss as part of the Claverdon Lions team.

The challenge is raising awareness and funds for LooseHeadz, a charity dedicated to tackling the stigma around mental health through the power of conversation and community.

Duncan said:
“We want this row to help start more honest conversations and remind people that checking in on a colleague or a mate can make a genuine difference.”

New UKMHA Guidance Available!

UKMHA's new Guidance Note GN72: Storage of Lithium-Ion Traction Batteries is now available free of charge from the UKMHA webstore.
As the use of lithium-ion-powered forklift trucks continues to grow, GN72 provides practical guidance on the safe storage of traction batteries both within and outside of material handling equipment.

Published alongside UKWA's guidance for smaller lithium-ion batteries, GN72 is specifically aimed at industrial traction battery applications.

Today, UKMHA is proud to support UKWA's Member Connect Series event, where UKMHA Technical Director David Goss is joining the programme as a guest speaker.

The event coincides with the publication of new lithium-ion battery storage guidance from both associations. The two documents are complementary, with UKWA covering smaller batteries handled by the warehousing and logistics supply chain, and UKMHA's new Guidance Note GN72 focusing on lithium-ion traction batteries used in material handling equipment such as forklift trucks.
