Pro-Level Insight: The Hidden Relay Fatigue
A common professional observation is that A/C systems often fail or cut out specifically during extreme heat. Technically, this isn't always a refrigerant issue. Over time, the internal contacts of the A/C Relay can wear out. Under high ambient temperatures, electrical resistance increases, and a weak relay may fail to engage the compressor clutch. Always perform a voltage drop test on the electrical circuit before condemning expensive mechanical parts.
Common Issues & Smart Solutions:
Problem: The interior blower fan only works on the "High" setting.
Solution: This is a classic symptom of a failed Blower Motor Resistor. Replacing this component restores the lower speed settings.
Problem: The air is cold while driving but gets warm when idling at a stoplight.
Solution: This usually points to a failing Condenser Fan or a restricted condenser core. Without proper airflow while stationary, the refrigerant cannot release its heat effectively.
