Pressure Washer Service Engineer

CSS Cleaning Equipment is an established, family-run business based in Kelso and part of Crop Services (Scotland) Ltd. Since 1989 we have been supplying, servicing, and supporting commercial cleaning equipment across Scotland and Northumberland.
With over 35 years of experience, we are trusted by hundreds of businesses across industries including agriculture, construction, food production, automotive, and public services. Our reputation is built on quality equipment, expert advice, and reliable aftersales support.
We operate fully equipped workshops and service vans, allowing us to deliver both in-house and on-site repairs to a wide range of cleaning equipment.
We are looking for a multi-skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team based in Kelso. This is a hands-on role involving the service, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of pressure washing equipment, both in our workshop and at customer sites.
Responsibilities
β’ Service, repair, and maintain hot and cold pressure washers
β’ Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
β’ Carry out on-site repairs and routine maintenance visits
β’ Install new equipment and provide basic user training to customers
β’ Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
β’ Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
β’ Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
Requirements
β’ Experience working with pressure washers or similar machinery (plant, agricultural, or cleaning equipment) would be advantageous
β’ Good mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding skills
β’ Full UK driving licence
β’ Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
β’ Good communication and customer-facing skills
Desirable (but not essential)
β’ Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent)
β’ Previous field service experience
