Another job from last year the roof of this classic motor cruiser was attacked by water and was very soft. The owner wanted to just inject the soft areas with epoxy resin which I wasn't happy about doing so he said he'd cut the top off and so glad he did as the sandwich core was shot!! Once all core had been removed new balsa core was installed and the top bonded back on once it was filled and faired the flybridge was bonded on (i hadn't documented the work I did to this but all instrument holes filled so it was a blank canvas & over 60 screw holes filled and faired along with the crazing) the owner wanted no screw holes hence bonding everything together as one all rubbing strake and metal capping around the cabin removed, fibreglassed then filled and faired along with all crazing, holes & damage around the deck which was Major and all ready for painting for the new season.

This Swan sailing yacht was in for a total make over inside and out and while sitting in a nice warm workshop the owner noticed water running out from behind the previous repairs under the waterline so I was tasked with removing all previous repairs and found that the original lay up was riddled with air voids and dry glass so once removed down to sound material I proceeded to apply 6 layers of biaxial cloth & epoxy pro-set resin to all repaired areas then a fill and fair, gel seal and antifoul which were completed by Suffolk Yacht Harbour.

A rudder blade that the owner was suspicious that there was water inside so wanted me to investigate so he asked me if he could cut it so I gave him instructions to cut the other side as that was the side that the shaft tangs were bonded too but he decided to cut the bonded side so I had to re-bond the tangs fill with 2 part foam and re-fibreglass the panel back on then clear gel saw it looked original # # #

A catamaran that had been laid up sitting on its keel which wouldn't normally be a problem but it had been previously repaired very badly, for one the crack hadn't been taken out also the fibreglass they repaired it with was stuck on top of paint which in turn wasn't stuck to the fibreglass lucky I have an array of tools so I could first cut out the old fibreglass & grind up the surface to then add 3 layers of 600g Csm (Chopped strand mat) 3 layers of 810/450 combi mat to add some extra strength.

This is a garage roof of a Baveria sailing yacht that the owner had removed the dinghy off of so he was left with some unsightly screw holes and some previous badly repaired areas which are going to be visible now as the dinghy is now attached to the pushpit.
