Reliance Precision Limited (‘Reliance’) is proud to sponsor Kirkburton Football Club’s (‘Kirkburton FC’) newly formed under 12s girls’ teams. The sponsorship will provide players across two teams with their kit for the next two seasons as they enter the West Riding Girls League. The partnership is particularly meaningful for Reliance as the team will be coached by the company’s Manufacturing Operations Manager, Lee Bradley. Lee created the team in response to growing interest in football among young players in the local area. He aims to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where the girls can develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.

Lee commented:
“Starting a new team is an exciting challenge and support like this makes a huge difference. Encouraging young people to get involved in sport is incredibly important. Having a proper kit helps the players feel part of something special and gives them a real sense of identity, allowing them to walk onto the pitch with a pride and confidence. I’m delighted that Reliance has been able to contribute to making this happen.”

Dave Jowett, Chairperson of Kirkburton FC, added:
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Reliance Precision as a partner of Kirkburton FC and to have their support behind our new under 12s girls’ teams. Growing girls’ football is a big part of our ambition at Kirkburton. We want every young person in our community to have the opportunity to play, develop, make friends and feel proud to wear the Kirkburton badge. We’re incredibly grateful to Reliance for supporting what we’re building at Kirkburton FC.”

Jaime Larder, HR Manager at Reliance, said:
“We are so pleased to be providing the kit for Kirkburton Football Club’s new girls’ teams. As a business, we are committed to supporting initiatives that benefit the local area and align with our values. This partnership with Kirkburton FC is a natural fit for us, benefitting both organisations and the community in which we operate.”

Reliance Precision Limited ("Reliance") is pleased to announce the arrival of its 2026 apprentice intake. The four new apprentices (Amy, Finlay, Lewis and Mark) come to Reliance from a range of educational pathways. Lewis has just completed his GCSEs, whereas Amy, Finlay and Mark join the scheme from college, having studied BTECs, A Levels and T Levels respectively. Each apprentice will begin formal qualifications tailored to their requirements, but they will all begin their journey in Reliance's accredited training school where they will learn the fundamental principles of engineering and how to work safely within a manufacturing environment.

The Reliance Precision Apprenticeship Scheme has been developing engineering talent for over sixty years. The organisation recruits a small number of apprentices each year to ensure it maintains the engineering expertise required to design and manufacture precision components and sub-assemblies for critical applications. Throughout the training programme, the cohort will gain practical, hands-on experience across a range of disciplines, working alongside experienced engineers.

Robert Farrell, Training School Manager, said:
"We are delighted to welcome this year's apprentices to Reliance. Our apprenticeship scheme plays an important role in developing the next generation of engineers, providing opportunities to learn valuable technical skills whilst contributing to the business. We look for individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn, and we are pleased to see those qualities reflected in this year's intake. We look forward to supporting them throughout their apprenticeship journey and watching them develop their careers at Reliance."
