⚙️ Emergency Pellet Press Bearing Replacement 🔧

Last week, Woods Engineering Solutions were called out to a customer following a bearing failure on one of their corn pellet presses.

After inspecting the machine, we got straight to work removing the failed bearing and clearing out the damaged components. With the old bearing removed, we installed the new bearings, reassembled the press and got the machine back together, helping minimise downtime and get production moving again.

Another example of the sort of reactive mechanical maintenance and breakdown support we provide — from bearing failures and drive issues through to complete machinery repairs.

🔧 Another repair completed on this hook loader wagon.

The original rear protection bar had suffered significant damage and was no longer fit for service. We removed the bent bar, prepared the mounting points, and fabricated/fitted a brand-new replacement.

The new bar was fully welded into position, finished with fresh paint for long-lasting protection, and fitted with new end caps to give it a clean, professional finish.

✅ Damaged bar removed
✅ New heavy-duty replacement fitted
✅ Freshly painted
✅ New end caps installed
✅ Back in service and looking the part

Big extraction for a serious setup 🔧

We’ve just completed the install of this 4m x 3m spray booth with a 710mm extraction duct running straight through the roof.

To keep everything running properly in all weather, the system is finished with a High Velocity weather cowl to stop rain coming back down the ducting while still allowing full airflow.

The roof pe*******on has been fully flashed and sealed, keeping everything completely watertight while the booth pulls out overspray and fumes efficiently.

Clean install. Proper airflow. Built to last.

Bespoke problems need bespoke solutions. 💪

This custom-built trolley was designed and fabricated to allow the safe extraction of a 2-tonne motor, with zero room for error. Due to tight site restrictions, height, width, and length had to be precise to the millimetre — no off-the-shelf option would cut it.

Engineered for strength, stability, and smooth movement under extreme load, this trolley did exactly what it was built to do: get the job done safely and efficiently.

From concept to completion, this is custom fabrication doing what it does best. 🔧⚙️

We’ve just completed the installation of a high-performance dust extraction system for a chop saw workstation, helping to keep the workspace cleaner, safer, and more efficient.
