To mark Make UK's National Manufacturing Day, we were delighted to welcome 30 T Level Engineering students from Nottingham College to our Hucknall site.

Students experienced first-hand what it's like to work in the aerospace industry, learning about how we design, develop and manufacture aerospace components, exploring career opportunities, and taking a behind-the-scenes tour of our factory.

The enthusiasm and curiosity shown throughout the day was fantastic to see. From insightful questions to engaging discussions with colleagues across the business, the students embraced every opportunity to learn more about engineering and manufacturing.

Who knows? We may have met some of our future engineers.

Throwback to last Saturday when colleagues, friends and family proudly represented ITP Aero UK at Nottingham Pride 2026. 🌈

This week we welcomed a fantastic group of young people to our ITP Aero Summer Coding Camp!

The camp combines digital learning and hands-on experiences to spark curiosity, build confidence and showcase the exciting opportunities available within STEM ✨

The camp runs completely free for children of our employees and the wider community, as part of our commitment to inspiring the next generation into STEM.

Highlights of the week included:
💻 Developing the skills to code their own games and compose songs

🛫 A visit to our Hucknall facility, with one of our chief engineers giving an introduction to aeronautical engineering (and fielding some brilliant questions!)

🏭 A tour of the factory floor to see how advanced aerospace components are made and

✈️ Designing, building and flight-testing their own paper aeroplanes, exploring aerodynamics, design and continuous improvement along the way

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who gave their time to make the week a success.

Everyone has left the camp with new skills, new friends, and a spark of excitement about where engineering could take them. 🌍✈️

✈ The future of aerospace starts with the next generation.

Last week ITP Aero welcomed more than a thousand visitors to our stand at Farnborough International Airshow for their Pioneers of Tomorrow event, when they open the doors to the public.

Throughout the day our team met aviation enthusiasts and to the exciting world of aerospace engineering, inspiring the next generation of engineers, manufacturers and innovators.

Budding young engineers took part in a wide range of interactive activities designed to bring engineering to life. Families and young people tried their hand at
🤖robot coding challenges,
⚙️assembling model engines,
🛫explored our interactive engine display and learned more about the technology that helps power aircraft around the world.
🔎Visitors also enjoyed experiencing non-destructive testing activities that demonstrated how engineers help ensure the safety and reliability of aerospace components
🗨💬and future engineers learnt more about the career opportunities available to them through ITP Aero
