Welcome to Horsham Forge. We are an established business specialising in bespoke wrought ironwork and metal fabrication.

Believe it or not, this is a cast steel front section of a Porsche... but probably not the kind of Porsche you are thinking of! This is actually from a Porsche tractor, and it came with some tricky requirements for modification.

As you can see, the reach for the drill is considerably out of range for most setups, but luckily we have a Nick and our Nick absolutely relishes a challenge! The drill bit being used here in our precision single head drill was made in house for this job, and as Nick has been on plenty of rodeos, it worked flawlessly!

If a job is genuinely impossible, then we will of course tell you. But not until we have exhausted every single possible option first!

Recently, Andy was tasked with making a Corten steel cast to surround a set of steps that one of our regular customers was building for their clients. We received the photos of the finished steps and we think they look great! The steelwork will of course rust over time to develop that unique colour of which Corten is best known for, and we hope to see it when it has settled. Great work, Andy!

We made it through... albeit with very slimmed down workshop hours ( Thank you Nick and Tanya) but the workload hasn't slowed and we continued to work through as many orders as we could.

Pete has been working through a very interesting order which so far includes framing the, err... Illuminati.. 🤫. Making 8 giant beacon braziers and a very heavyweight forged gallows bracket. (Make of it what you will, we don't ask)

Nick has seen the fruits of his labour with the return of his excellently restored and reconstructed grille sections from our local specialist painters. These are for Christ's Hospital School, a customer who always keeps us busy with very interesting jobs!

Andy has been making a very long version of our popular Victoria rose arch but we will wait for some installation pictures before showing you.

Another interesting job on Nicks bench this week has been a giant curved structure made from Corten steel. This is destined to create a social space in our customers garden and we will be sure to ask for some pictures when it gains it's famous deep oxide layer.

As usual, a myriad of other jobs have been completed amongst the featured, and we are looking forward to a few days of cool down before the jobs of next week commence.

Dear Facebook friends and followers.

Due to the extreme heat this week, we may well have to take our jumpers off...

We appreciate that this can be a shock, but even blacksmiths need a cool down sometimes.

In all seriousness though, we have decided to alter our working hours this week to cope. As we're sure you can imagine, our workshop gets extremely hot! If you need to contact us or visit us then please try to do so before 2pm.

With the completion of several large orders from our regular customers, we have managed to gain enough time to start catching up with our commissions.

There has been lots of variation through the workshop this past week, so finally we have enough interesting jobs to show you.

Nick, with help from Andy, has been busy recreating an iron grate to exact original dimensions and methods. Lots of these jobs come to us with critical specifications, usually to Heritage or Trust requirements.

Elsewhere we have had a few of our favourite repeat jobs to keep us busy, along with some modification work for customers items.

Also, our shop stock has had a boost with some of our favourite items back on the shelves so it is a good time to pop in and have a look!

As always, you can find us within Hillier garden centre from Tuesday to Friday 8am-5.30pm and Saturday from 8am-1pm.

A wonderful green space restoration by our friends at Horsham District Council is coming along nicely, including the original and somewhat historic gate that we restored for them earlier this year. We are looking forward to exploring the area when we can!

After what seems like an endless wave of mass production, it has been nice to turn our attention back to our bespoke work. These stainless steel machine guards were a fun project, from design to installation for a local manufacturer in the health care industry.
Now, we can turn our attention back to an ever growing list of bespoke orders!

We are looking forward to trying the new Strike Assist VR goggles soon! Giving AI assisted strike targeting alongside infra red heat maps for the perfect strike, every time!
Alongside our recently installed Bluetooth anvil, you could say that we are getting pretty modern around here 😎 and now that Nick finally has a set of left handed hammers.. there is no stopping us ⚒️
