We had a great visit to the University of Leicester Racing Formula Student 🏎️ team this week, where our sales engineer Tom Armitage ran a training session on our WrenchStar Multi Plus digital torque wrench and Crane Smart Connect App. πŸ”§ πŸ“±

As proud sponsors of the team, we've given them access to a WrenchStar Multi Plus for their build, giving them precise torque control and real-time data logging straight from the garage.

Tom walked the team through the wrench setup, so every fastening on the car can be tracked and verified with confidence. πŸ’ͺ

Great to see the next generation of engineers in action. Good luck lads, we'll see you at the race! 🏁

πŸ”© Did you know that guessing torque values could be putting your business at serious risk?

Most fastener failures aren't down to faulty parts, they're down to incorrect torque. Here's what many engineers and technicians don't realise:

⚠️ Incorrect torque is one of the leading causes of mechanical failure.
πŸ’Έ A single incorrectly torqued fastener can take an entire production line offline.
πŸ“‰ Torque-related failures are one of the most common triggers for product recalls.

The good news is that every one of these risks is completely avoidable!

Precision torque tools eliminate the guesswork, ensuring every fastener is tightened to exact specification with a full data trail for quality assurance and compliance.

Is your torque wrench still accurate? πŸ”§

Daily use, drops, and general wear can all cause your torque wrench to drift. The problem is, it'll still feel normal even when it's producing inaccurate readings.

Regular torque testing is essential to keep your assembly quality consistent and your documentation audit-ready. Our latest blog covers when to test, how to do it, and which tools give you the most accurate, traceable results.

Mental health matters all year round, but this week is a reminder to slow down and check in, not only with others but also ourselves. πŸ’™

Here are three small actions that can make a big difference:

πŸ‘ͺ Check in on friends and family
🌿 Get outside and reconnect with nature
πŸ—£οΈ 'Torque' openly about how you’re feeling

And remember: asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. πŸ’ͺ

If you need support, you are not alone. Share the helpline numbers on the final image with someone who might need them (UK Only). πŸ“ž

Many manufacturers can face up to $100M per recall

Up to 60% of costs are preventable with better processes

Automotive accounts for the majority of recall losses
