National Apprenticeship Week takes place from 10 to 16 February 2025 and aims to bring together everyone involved in and interested in apprenticeships and to promote the value, benefit, and opportunity that they can bring.
The WSP Apprenticeship has an annual intake of two Engineering students hand picked from Leicester College. The students rotate working within all of the WSP functions, including Turnkey, Consultancy, HSE and Project Management, enabling them the opportunity to learn all aspects of the engineering spectrum whilst learning from some of our most knowledgeable and experienced employees and gaining a degree at the end of their training.

In a rapidly changing world of technology and legislation it is increasingly important to keep employees up to date with relevant skills and knowledge.

As part of their Learning and Development Programme WSP offers training opportunities to all of its employees from the very start of their employment, this initiative not only helps to boost individual performance but also helps to create job satisfaction.

2025 will see the start of a new Training initiative which aims to showcase specific areas within each function. Employees will be able to receive training sessions around 1-2-1’s from HR, ‘how to claim expenses’ from Finance, learn about our ISO accreditation from HSE, as well as much more throughout the year.

From on the job training , monthly awareness courses, mentoring and coaching programmes and industry recognised qualifications WSP provides current and comprehensive plans for all staff members.
