🚑 A New Variant Joins the Range 🚑

We’re excited to reveal the latest evolution of our VM001 cabinet range — now configured as a First Aid Cabinet.

By introducing new colour options, custom lettering, and internal shelf configurations, the VM001 platform is now expanding into an entirely new market while retaining the core design principles that define VM Safety Solutions products.

Built using our unique composite cabinet construction methods, the VM001 range is designed to deliver:

In manufacturing, reputation is often mistaken for proof — and difficulty for impossibility.

In this short video, we’re proud to show our new, production-ready fire extinguisher mould. Not just any mould, but a single-piece silicone bag infusion process that allows us to manufacture cabinet bodies as a continuous composite structure — delivering exceptional durability without compromising commercial viability.

This outcome is tangible proof that high performance, efficiency, and environmental responsibility do not have to be mutually exclusive. It wasn’t achieved through theory alone, but through hands-on expertise, persistence, discipline, and a willingness to collaborate and refine the process properly.

We stayed with the problem, applied every skill and asset available to our team, and made the process work as intended. The results speak for themselves.

This marks a major milestone for us and clearly defines the direction we will be taking in our manufacturing going forward.

A quick look at the production of our new patterns.

This short video shows our own images from the pattern-making stage — a crucial part of the process that sets the accuracy and finish for everything that follows. Seeing this stage come together so cleanly is hugely satisfying.

Massive thanks to the highly skilled Walk The Plank Furniture for the craftsmanship and attention to detail that’s gone into the wood work — proper work by someone who truly knows their trade.

It’s amazing how one small detail can change how something feels.

With the Fire Extinguisher label now fitted, our prototype cabinet finally looks finished — not just something we’re working on, but something ready to be used.

A lot of work has gone into getting to this point, and seeing it come together like this is incredibly satisfying.

This has been a long time coming.

Today we’re finally sharing VM001 — our first cabinet, designed from the ground up with real-world use in mind.

Rather than chasing spec-sheet numbers or flashy claims, we focused on what actually matters in the field: sealing, durability, usability, and responsible manufacture.

A huge thank you to Walk The Plank Furniture for their work on the moulds that made this possible. Their experience and attention to detail played a big part in getting this right.

This is just the start — but it’s a solid foundation to build from.

Another update from the workshop at VM 🔧

This is our first in-house 3D printed handle, designed and produced by us and now ready to be installed on our prototype product.

Producing these handles ourselves opens up a lot of flexibility:

- We can make them to order rather than holding large stocks

- Designs can be adjusted quickly for new products or custom jobs

- Less reliance on external suppliers and deliveries helps reduce our environmental impact

- Full control over how each part looks, feels, and performs

This version is only the starting point. We’ll be continuing development with further testing and exploring different materials as the product progresses.

More to come as everything starts to take shape.

A Big milestone for us at VM this week! 🔧🔥

We invited Walk The Plank Furniture in to create the prototype mould for our first fully developed in-house product. This mould will be the first step in a brand-new production line we’ll be bringing to life in the new year — and it’s exciting to finally see it take shape after many hours of planning and design work.

It’s early days, but this is where the hands-on part of the journey begins.
A lot of precision, a lot of late nights, and a lot of sawdust… but absolutely worth it.

We can’t wait to show you more as we move into the prototype stage!
