Following a strong Q1 and Q2, it became clear we needed more hands-on-deck to keep up with demand.

This growth reflects what has been building year-on-year, as we continue to focus on taking on more projects while delivering consistency and efficiency across our sheet metal fabrication processes.

Starting off the month with a finished project… almost. 😅

The team are assembling a batch of blue metal enclosures, which is always a good stage to reach after seeing a job run right through the workshop.

This order has been through the full in-house process, starting in design and moving through material selection, laser cutting, forming, welding, grinding and then finishing with powder coated finish.

Now it's in the final stage of assembly before being packed up and sent out to the customer!

Insertion underway as the team fit threaded inserts into some freshly manufactured sheet metal parts. 🔥

As components become thinner, lighter and more complex, inserts provide a reliable way of adding strong, repeatable fixing points exactly where they’re needed. They also allow stainless steel fasteners to be used with aluminium panels, giving greater flexibility during assembly while helping maintain consistency across the finished build.

Once complete, these parts are ready for the next stage and out the door.

It may be getting warmer outside, but our dedicated cryogenics facility is staying just as cold as ever. 👀

This area is focused on the fabrication of leak tested vessels used in cryogenic systems, including applications such as cryogen free dilution refrigerators. Everything is built and tested in-house, which gives our customers better control over quality, traceability and lead times.

With experienced welders and a set process, we can supply fully assembled, leak tested vessels with competitive lead times and a consistent standard of work throughout.

As part of our finishing services, we offer in-house powder coating. 🌟

Keeping this in-house gives us full control over finish quality, removing reliance on third parties and helping to avoid delays while keeping lead times consistent.

It also means customers receive parts ready to use, with a durable finish that protects against wear and corrosion, whilst ensuring consistency across repeat orders, so replacements match previous batches.
