Commercial resurfacing project completed in Freckleton for another valued client.

The existing failed tarmac surface was fully excavated and removed from site using our excavator and grab wagon service, allowing the area to be properly prepared from the ground up. Our team then re-formed the levels to improve the overall profile and drainage before installing a new hand-laid carriageway surface, delivering a durable and professional finish suitable for regular vehicle traffic.

Another high-quality transformation completed efficiently and safely by the FT Surfacing team from preparation through to final surfacing.

FT Surfacing Ltd recently completed a full resurfacing project on a private residential driveway in Thornthwaite, Keswick, involving the hand lay installation of approximately 40 tonnes of 6mm SMA asphalt.

Works were carried out over two days:

• Day 1 – Preparation works completed, existing edges trimmed and tie-ins cut to ensure clean transitions and levels throughout the site.
• Day 2 – Installation of 40 tonnes of 6mm SMA by our experienced hand lay surfacing team.

Despite the challenging layout and restricted working areas, the project was completed efficiently and to a high standard, delivering a smooth, durable and visually impressive finish for the client.

A great effort from the entire FT Surfacing hand lay gang on this one — quality workmanship, teamwork and attention to detail from start to finish.

Another successful commercial surfacing project completed by FT Surfacing.

This forecourt had become tired, uneven, and no longer fit for purpose, so our team carried out a full excavation and removal of the existing surface before preparing the area for a complete transformation.

Works completed included:

✔ Full excavation and disposal of existing materials
✔ Installation of new ACO drainage channels for improved water management
✔ Installation of block border entrance details for a clean and professional finish
✔ Preparation, levelling, and resurfacing of the entire forecourt and parking area

The end result is a durable, low-maintenance, and visually impressive car parking area that has completely revitalised the external appearance of the property while improving accessibility and usability.
