Construction projects should work like clockwork and any hold ups result in time and budget costs down the line. With a concrete pour programmed for later in the day our client realised vital cogs were missing -- two pumping stations!!

Following an early morning phone call, our Production Team sped into action and within hours they were delivered to site. Schedule maintained!

Situated on a busy shopping street in North London, this surface water station receives runoff from the forecourt of a supermarket via a drainage channel.

Our investigation found a heavy build-up of silt and gravel inside the chamber, with debris jamming the non-return valves and restricting performance. A full CCTV survey revealed that much of the material was coming from a deteriorating forecourt surface, mixed with road runoff.

The chamber was dug out by hand, the pipework was jet cleaned, and the station was thoroughly tankered and cleaned to restore operation. A follow-up visit will take place once resurfacing works are complete to ensure no additional debris has entered the system.
