Such a pleasure to be playing on the Folk Stage on the ScillonianQuay in Penzance last Sunday afternoon, with the wind blowing in-between bursts of sunshine. Hilary and I played a mix of old and new songs. We were delighted to see friends there, thanks to all for coming. Thanks also to Duncan Paul for helping us with equipment & taking photos, and to Alex Taylor for looking after us so well.

Old Folk Song from early 18th Century about a young girl's heartbreak when her 'Jimmy' was enlisted to fight in the Napoleonic wars. It was evolved from a poem written by Robert Anderson ['Jenny's Complaint' 1808] and reset to a different tune in 1951 by A J Lloyd. Made famous by Anne Briggs in 1963

Hi, hope everyone is OK and keeping safe and well? What do you do when you're at home with guitars lying around and a Smart phone at hand? Hmmm ....

The first song coming up was recorded for the amazing Dreamers Folk Club weekly lockdown watch party, it's been fun and kept me occupied for a bit (well a lot really considering the number of 'takes' ...)
