As part of London’s largest purpose-built life sciences development, our Tadelakt Rammed Earth Finish was chosen to form the striking front desk at Apex, the first completed building within the landmark Tribeca masterplan.

The award-winning restoration of Walworth Town Hall by Feix&Merlin and General Projects transformed this Grade II-listed South London landmark into a new workspace and community hub, while retaining 95% of the original building.

Our clay plaster features in several spaces, including the new cafe and lobby, complementing the project’s balance of historic character and contemporary intervention.

The new cafe opens onto the civic square, through doors formed by carefully adapting the original windows.

Clayworks clay plasters are designed to contribute to some of the most robust environmental assessment methods used across architecture and interior design, including BREEAM v7, LEED v5, WELL v2 and Passivhaus.

Our natural clay plasters have product-specific, independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), providing transparent information about their environmental impact. Our EPDs achieve the highest available quality level, with the maximum product-weighting multiplier of 1.5.

This retrofit, renovation, and extension of a semi-detached property in North London blends Art Deco with an Ibizan beach house aesthetic, all while prioritising sustainability. Energy-efficient technology, including MVHR, air source heat pumps, solar PV tiles and battery storage are seamlessly integrated behind a soft interior palette of natural materials, including our smooth clay plaster.

Designed by London-based architecture studio ConForm, Terzetto reimagines the relationship between this Victorian lower-ground-floor flat and its generous rear garden.

The extension reinterprets the architectural language of the building’s classic Victorian bay windows. Angled green terrazzo columns are paired with rosy terracotta Clayworks clay plaster, while our Rustic Exterior finish in the same shade extends the material language outdoors, reference the historic building’s brickwork and reducing its visual impact on neighbouring properties.

Developed as an answer to the complex technical challenges of building with monolithic mass, Clayworks Rammed Earth finishes bring the materiality and feel of traditional rammed earth to interiors.

Applied by skilled craftspeople, each surface is developed in layers, allowing tone, texture and composition to be carefully controlled.

Three projects that explore the versatility of our clay as a canvas for mural artwork.

Mondrian Hotel, Shoreditch

Our tonal clay plaster was used throughout several key spaces of the Mondrian Hotel, Shoreditch, as part of Goddard Littlefair’s thoughtfully crafted interior design scheme.⁠
⁠
In Christina’s, the hotel’s double-height cafe bar, a curved copper bar is crowned with a large-scale, hand-painted mural by Fred Coppin, while our clay plaster creates a softly textured backdrop to the space’s decor.⁠⁠

Bryan O’Sullivan Collection Gallery, Claridge’s

Set within the Grade II listed 1929 Ballroom Wing at Claridge’s, renowned interior designer Bryan O’Sullivan unveiled his inaugural collection of furniture, lighting and home furnishings within an intimate new gallery space.⁠
⁠
Reflecting O’Sullivan’s signature approach of playful forms, confident colour and layered historical references, the interior pairs sleek glass and metal with Clayworks Rustic Ombré clay plaster across the walls and ceilings. Overhead, a hand-painted celestial mural by Sam Wood adds another layer of artistry and craftsmanship.

Hattusa, Kent

Hattusa, a Turkish restaurant in Kent, brings the history and craft of ancient Anatolia into a contemporary hospitality interior. Designed by Studio Anares, the concept draws inspiration from the Hittite civilisation - ancient cuneiform inscriptions hand-carved into Clayworks Demi-Rustic clay plaster envelop diners in the cultural heritage of the Bronze Age city of Hattusa.
