This week, our Support & Installation Technician Connor has been onboard Black Rose — the final Balance Catamarans 526 — commissioning a dual E-Power system, ready to deliver up to 18kW of onboard power.

A dual E-Power setup brings a range of practical benefits:
✅ Generator replacement – removing the need for a standalone genset
✅ Weight and space savings – freeing up valuable onboard capacity
✅ High power availability – supporting energy-intensive onboard systems
✅ Improved onboard comfort – quieter operation with less vibration
✅ Fuel efficiency gains – generating power more efficiently from the main engines

🌍 Two world firsts. One unforgettable debut.

At the Miami International Boat Show this February, Integrel Solutions and Balance Catamarans will make history with a double world premiere.

This will be the first-ever boat show appearance of Integrel E-Drive — and the first catamaran in North America to feature the system. The spotlight? Tiger Lily, the very first Balance 502, launching a new model and a new era of onboard energy.

For the first time, sailors will be able to step aboard and experience a system that fundamentally changes how power is generated, managed and used onboard — combining intelligent energy generation with hybrid electric propulsion.

⚡ Smarter energy
⚡ Greater efficiency
⚡ True blue-water capability

Come aboard. Meet the team. See what’s next for blue-water performance.

Congratulations to Wauquiez Yachts on the Wauquiez 55 being named European Yacht of the Year 2026 in the Luxury Cruiser category — a fantastic and well-deserved achievement.

We’re delighted that this award-winning yacht will be fitted with Integrel E-Drive, delivering intelligent onboard power (removing the need for a generator) and enabling efficient hybrid electric propulsion. A great example of how innovation and sustainability are shaping the future of blue-water cruising.

Breaking news: the WAUQUIEZ 55 awarded “EUROPEAN YACHT OF THE YEAR 2026” in the Luxury Cruiser category.

Düsseldorf, January 18, 2026.

The 12 jury members of the EYOTY committee, representing the major European sailing magazines, have finally revealed the conclusion of their votes: among the 5 nominees in the over 16m category, as known as “luxury cruisers”, they have elected the WAUQUIEZ 55 as winner.

“Today, I’m the happiest CEO and yacht designer” says Cyril BALLU, Head of EXEL Yachting*, owner of the Wauquiez brand. “This is fantastic news for the shipyard and our teams: this award shows that hard work and audacity still mean something in this fabulous yachting industry. Not only for us, but also for our proud customers! We hope this award will turn more blue water cruising enthusiasts into happy Wauquiez “Haute Plaisance” sailors”.

This award does not only reward years of hard work for the French shipyard, celebrating his 60th anniversary in 2025, and historically well-known for its iconic models: Centurion, Pilot Saloon, etc.

It also underlines the audacity of the new owner, EXEL Yachting, taking control of the company 4 years ago, with the ambition of pushing the brand forward with a clearly disruptive mindset.

With innovation as underlaying philosophy for this project, the output shows a concentrate of technologies, combined with head-turning design, under Marc Lombard Yacht Design sharpened pencil.

According to jury members, this 55-footer has been particularly remarked for:
- Her incomparable silhouette, her reverse sheerline, raised knuckle, portholes all along the planking. Inside volumes are just a premiere on a yacht of this size.
- Her seaworthiness and aptitude to reach double-digit speeds, thanks to her fantastic hull design and powerful sailplan, yet remaining easy to sail solo or by a short-handed crew, focus on safety being paramount since inception.
- Her unprecedent layout, featuring massive living space, multiple lounging areas, and, of course, her full-beam aft owners suite, giving direct access to the bath platform.

WAUQUIEZ 55 hull #2 is currently showcased at the BOOT.
Until Sunday 25, visitors can book a private tour to be shown all these details and explained the twin-engine hybrid propulsion system available on this version.

📊 Marine Industry News recently shared an interesting article highlighting new research that challenges traditional boat-buying assumptions — and the findings are clear: technology now leads the decision-making process for customers.

The data shows that consumers care most about technology when purchasing a new boat. In fact, it’s the primary reason buyers choose new over used — ranking higher than warranty, price, and even dealer recommendation.

This insight strongly aligns with what we’re seeing at Integrel Solutions. As a technology company specialising in sustainable onboard power generation and hybrid electric propulsion, we’re delivering exactly the kind of innovation today’s boat owners are actively looking for.

From Integrel E-Power, which replaces traditional generators with intelligent, efficient energy generation, to Integrel E-Drive, combining propulsion and power in one integrated system, our technology responds directly to evolving customer expectations — cleaner, quieter, smarter boating.

For boat builders, dealers and OEM partners, the message is clear: investing in advanced marine technology isn’t just a sustainability play — it’s a big advantage in an increasingly tech-driven market.
