Adata was founded in 2002, originating from an IT background with over 20 years’ experience, the company migrated into the evolving digital security market, where technologies were converging with the release of Digital Video recorders, replacing traditional analogue tape based solutions. As an early adopter of digital based security solutions, Adata w
as quickly recognised as a leading innovator, manufacturer and supplier of professional surveillance solutions. As an industry pioneer there was a dynamic and passion to introduce ground breaking products and solutions that would enhance the way CCTV was used and the results it delivered. Early achievements included becoming the 1st manufacturer to provide a DVR, complete with integrated CD writer, allowing evidence to be removed digitally and direct from a DVR. Adata was also the first company to introduce an H.264 real time recorder into the UK market, all of which have now become industry standard. Since the inauguration of Adata, it has become one of the most prominent figures in the security market, supplying in excess of 25 countries worldwide, spanning 4 continents. As a leading solutions provider, Adata offers a wealth of expertise and a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, suitable for an array of applications. With solid foundations in place, 2008 was the underpinning year for Adata; opening a first class manufacturing facility in Asia. In addition, the company embarked on an exciting venture with our USA led R&D centre and launched the brand known as ‘Qvis’. Since the initial launch of Qvis, it has developed in stature, known as a brand that is trusted and doesn’t compromise on quality , being the choice of security professionals’ all around the world. The catalyst of this growth has been based on core values all of which still remain true to this day. The year 2013/14 was a start of a new chapter for the business, with the company moving to a new 56,000 sq ft distribution centre in Hampshire. The new facility enabled increased production capability, allowing for additional stock holding, and boasted a hands on interactive showroom, along with comprehensive training and conference facilities. Continued growth stimulated the requirement for investment and additional resource, which saw staffing levels exceed the 100 employee mark, ensuring the exceptional standard of service Qvis prides itself remained intact. With vision, foresight and an entrepreneurial view to business we continue to invest in the Qvis brand and 2013 saw us foray into new vertical markets. One saw the launch of Qvis monitoring and the other was into the exciting world of LED lighting, both of which share the same ethics as all of our business' and continue to gain awareness, brand loyalty and market momentum. Qvis monitoring has a state of the art, purpose built (NSI Gold and SSAIB accredited) ARC/VARC, offering monitored services and solutions via the security installer channel. Qvis Lighting, although only in its relative infancy, continues to make inroads. Already part of the lighting industry association (LIA) and Philips licensing program it recently was named in the top 10 new LED companies in the UK and has established channels through specification and value engineering, with a commerically focussed product range fit for the majority of lighting sectors. Fully equipped with the latest in LED technology, the QVIS brand is now very much established as an affordable name without compromising on quality or performance. Using only high end components and LED chips from key manufacturers worldwide, long life and serviceablity on all it's lighting products is standard practice. Focussing on energy efficiency and performance, the range of fully integrated luminaires are suitable for the commercial, industrial, retail and education sectors and offering dimmable solutions for lighting control requirements assists in energy saving and the reduction of carbon footprint. In order to further enhance it's growing reputation and brand recognition within the UK, QVIS has acquired lighting specialists from some of the biggest manufacturers in Europe. Using their wealth of knowledge and expertise in design, supply and implementation, QVIS are able to gain a full understanding of it's customers project needs and requirements.
