So we are gigging in Pocklington near York tonight and this is our duo wireless mic set up with Lisa’s IEM set up in same rack. We can adapt and custom supply what you all require in these racks as you can see. They really are a robust, lightweight and reliable set up. We love both our Sennheiser and Audio Technica set ups and we have added a really small speaker set up this evening as this concert room is an incredibly small room and they do not like bass.
We are using EV EKX12 passive mid/high boxes ran off our Dynacord Powermate 1000-3 mixer. Sounds great in soundcheck with zero complaints. Here’s to a good night.

I forgot to mention, we also supply bit bigger systems for solo wireless and added In Ear Monitor Systems as pictured and also supply for duo’s, trio’s or 4 piece vocal harmony artists.
Bands tend to move to metal design flightcasing but we could go bigger for bands as well should they require a lightweight set up with our design ideas.

Hi everyone.

So I now have the next new batch of wireless microphone systems available where I’ve set them all up as we use them in a live gig situation. The speed and convenience is in the use of these small, compact and lightweight set ups are unmatched in our opinion when gigging live.
The idea was to have everything self contained in one small box (2U high) but have everything at hand power wise.
So you open the front and rear flaps (lads, stop it now) and the front section reveals the mic receiver encased in the protective foam, the mic has its own hole slot to further protect that, (spare cable mic hole slot provided as well) and the batteries have their own little slots too.
But here’s where it gets better. On the rear section I’ve rackmounted a 1U 6gang power surge protection unit and plugged into that is the power plug for the wireless mic, a short IEC power lead for your mixing desk (kettle lead) and a short XLR-XLR cable where you can sit your mixing desk on top of this small rack at a gig, plug one single plug into the venue from the power surge unit, then plug the desk in,plug the mic into desk with XLR lead and it’s ready! It takes less than one minute to set this up and everything is fully protected and instant plug and play situation.
We use this system ourselves and have had great success with them.
There are many systems available new or ex demo or ex hire but all in either new or mint condition.
We have everything from Sennheiser G3/G4 100, 300 or 500 series to Audio Technica 3000 G2 series.
All have choice of capsules which you prefer and these can be tested out before buying as you all know.
We have x16 available but like last batch, be quick as they sell well.
You all know what to do for pricing, come in and test them to see what you like best but they start at £500 and depending on system level choice you can work up from there how you like. But we guarantee you won’t get a more reliable robust system than these if you need a wireless system. Come and see Kev

Calling all aspiring Singers/Songwriters and Musicians.

From September 2026 EDP charity is launching a BRAND NEW Project for the East Durham community.

With feedback from local residents and with the help from staff and volunteers we have established East Durham Partnership Community Events and Productions, a Not-For-Profit state of the art rehearsal and events suite at our premises at Kilburn drive Horden.

We operate with Evolve, Dynacord and Sennheiser equipment and are looking for eager participants to join the project to extend our existing choir, create a community band and create concerts and festivals for the East Durham community.

Together with our renowned sound engineer Kevin O’Connor Demo Room Audio, we hope to engage local people of all ages in musical activities and events. We welcome people of all ages to join the project.

The facility is also available for hire for corporate events, clubs, classes and individual or group rehearsals.

We received an email from The Dixon Agency today….we’ve not entered anything as the duo and literally just go to our gigs every weekend and just enjoy them ❤️
Screenshot of the email is attached 😂 To say we are shocked is an understatement 😲
We have to state we don’t profess to be ‘better’ than any other duo on the circuit, we are club singers and proud to be part of clubland.
We would of course like to thank the Leeds consultative for acknowledging us and appreciating what we give ❤️❤️

If we were to start running bonus ball competitions, would anyone be interested and buy numbers?

We were thinking an Evolve50 column speaker to start….possibly £25 a number?

Then we could have Evolve70’s or Evolve90’s, Sennheiser/Audio Technica Radio mic systems and some smaller draws for cable mics etc.

What does everyone think? 🤔

Hi everyone!
This is Kev just letting you all know we are now moved from our unit in Hartlepool and moved into The Winford Suite upstairs in Billingham Cons Club.
I’ve got quite a bit set up to be able to demonstrate stuff and got plenty of new stock in ready should any of you need anything.
In stock… Evolve 50, 70 & 90! Still by far our favourite brand and models from EV. We have brand new and ex demo models in Evolve70 & 90 right now too and there are great bargains to be had right now.
We have just received our new order of Allen & Heath Zed60-10FX and Zed 12FX mixers.
Our stock of new cable mics which include Audio Technica AE-4100, AE-6100 and ATS99 which is the new hyper cardioid microphone from AT (used by the fantastic Mr Paul Ashe Benstead.) you ALL know how good this guy sounds live!
We have all the usual Sennheiser Wireless in stock from EW-D to G4100 & G4500 series.
As the majority of you know, at this moment I’m suffering from Bells Palsy but thankfully only live two minutes from the club so at the moment we are going into shop by appointment only. It’s good to get a break from being bored at home so if any of you need any gear now is a great time to get it.
It would be great to catch up with you all if you need anything.
When you pull into the club driveway of Billingham Cons Club, the metal fire escape immediately on your right is the outside entrance to the Winford Suite so you do not have to enter the main club lobby and sign in, our entrance is our own.

Hi everyone,
Attention all artists who perform at Mill View Social Club in Fulwell Sunderland.
Over the last two weeks or so demo room audio have been undertaking the sound and lighting installation job in the club under the guidance of Mr Keith Seymour and the whole committee of this extremely well ran venue.
We would like to take this opportunity from Kev & Lisa to thank Keith and the whole committee for allowing us and trusting our reputation in sound to undertake this job which we believe will benefit all visiting artists in the way of both guaranteeing a great sound for them all, alongside less hu***ng of heavy equipment.

We are pleased to let you all know that we have completed what the club required in the way of sound and light up to the end of December. Watch this space for further plans in January.

We have installed a new PA system consisting of an EV EKX passive rig with 2 x 18” EKX 18S subwoofers per side and 1 x EKX 15 passive mid/high box per side. These speakers are powered by Dynacord L3600 and L2800 amplifiers.

We have also installed a front and rear stage trussing system housing the full lighting show including a very large and strongly built drum riser with signage on drum riser and backdrop rear wall.
We have provided venue artist power supplies around the stage which we feel was very important for all artists visiting, especially bands who need multiple inputs for power with backline and instruments.
All visiting acts will be allowed to use the PA and light show by simply plugging in their existing mixing desk into the D.I. Inputs so that you all have your own signature mix of all mics and instruments but still have loads of headroom in power and volume.
We have also installed in the lighting system a DMX controller which has preset programming for Fade, Slow Flash, Fast Flash, and all the main colours including Full UV so if any show people wearing white clothing the effect off stage should look excellent.
We have also included both Amber Blinder lighting Left and Right of stage as well as two moving heads which are set on Sound to Light. The reason for this is if an act has set the preset ‘Slow Flash’ for instance for their first set show, the moving heads and blinders will only kick off when the live music is playing and not in use whilst talking to the audience.
We have tried to make it as simple and convenient for all visiting acts knowing they need to concentrate on their live performances when there is no live sound engineer present but they have the luxury of their own on stage mix and a simple press of a button of choice for their light show.
We have already had live acts from duos and live bands use the system and seemed to be very happy with their whole night.
On behalf of demo room audio and Mill View Social Club we would like to invite all artists performing at Mill View to take full advantage of a great PA and light show and to please consider using it as it’s a win win situation for both the acts and the club when gear can be stripped down much quicker at the end of the gig. The act and the club staff get home much quicker.
We will be adding more information to this post once we get some feedback from fellow acts with questions but hope you all like what we’ve done.
We would like to thank this fantastic club for considering all acts who perform there and hope a lot more live venues follow suit.
