Street angels 💙💙
They may not be in our building anymore, but are always in our hearts and our conscience 🙏🏻

Volunteers Natalie, Sam, David and myself were out on street last night.

It was a little quieter than last week when we ran out of coffee and water. We had plenty for everyone including some food cupboard items for those who are in accommodation but struggle to afford the basics.

Nobody bats an eyelid any more at the fact people can’t afford to eat. The fact that we can help them a little is great but it’s also sad that people need to rely on groups like ours.

We continue to help those in need whether they are street homeless or vulnerably housed. No judgement here!

A nice positive one tonight...

Wow you're thinking, really, is he ok? 🤔

Having run our small family business for a long time now, I've learnt that it's incredibly difficult to make an immediate impact. Now that might just be me, but I'm more inclined to believe it's our industry's baggage. We are saddled with decades of fallout from cowboys and crooks, who have created a deep mistrust of the vehicle repair sector from cars all the way up to us. I'm also guilty of often signing up to this theory - as I absolutely know there are still hundreds out there!

So when Nic is over at Bridlington and gets a puncture, I default to sending our trusted supplier from here to sort it. Problem is, he can't this time and I'm knackered.
Kwick-Fit? I don't 🙊kin think so!
Halfords Tyres on the Drive? No thanks
But who, because till now, we haven't yet had to source this service locally.

Anyway a few clicks and a name appears
Settle's Tyres & Auto Centre
It doesn't just appear though, it lands with a massive thud, with fistfuls of 5⭐ reviews.
One short phone call later and we just knew they would be ok - but they weren't OK.
THEY WERE BRILLIANT 🙏🏻👏🏻

Today was a celebration for North Bridlington Dog Field as it's been a year since they opened. Within weeks, they had already become a supporter of Hero paws allowing us to put up a banner at the field 🙏🏻

As a family with incredibly difficult dogs, this facility has been an absolute godsend for us. We've used a LOT of these secure fields in various locations, but NONE even come close to Greenland's Farm. Today I got to meet Tim and Janet as not only a customer, but also a representative of Hero Paws and it was an absolute pleasure.

Over the last year, the team at Bridlington have continued to innovate and improve on what initially was A+ standard anyway, and now we have been given space for a more permanent sign in the shelter. Support like this is invaluable as 'awareness' about the Hero Paws mission is paramount and we cannot thank Tim, Janet, the team and their clients enough for the opportunity to spread the word 🙏🏻🐾❤️

We took the boys back tonight, as they couldn't attend, given that they are total ASBO's and watched the sun setting on this stunning East Coast gem.

Happy Birthday North Bridlington Dog Field, you guys are brilliant 🎂🎉

Two soldiers, who cared enough about their comrades to try and make a difference against huge odds. Bravery and honour doesn't end on a battlefield, it is a way of life to those with morals 🙏🏻🐾
