YSS Limited was established seven years ago by the current Managing Director, Darren Brown and through the acquisition of other established metalwork businesses and the continual investment in new technologies, YSS is in a strong position to offer a competitive solution to diverse sectors of the market. We have a number of laser, engineering and manufacturing sites in the Halifax area and our Head

Office is on Station Road in Halifax. Our powder coating and finishing plant that was once in Dewsbury is now also in Halifax. We continue to offer a comprehensive service. Here at YSS we use the latest metalworking technologies, along with a highly skilled workforce to keep our advantage on the metalworking market. We currently have a number of Amada laser cutters, one with an ASLUL Tower. Bending capabilities are from 2M, 3M & 4M Press Brakes, rated up to 220 tonnes. We are proud to be certified with ISO 9001 along with the following accreditations BS EN ISO 9001:2008, BS EN 288 & ASME IX in welding procedures with approved welders to BS EN 287 in TIG, MIG & MAG; all of which provide our clients with the knowledge that we are committed to quality. Whether you are the end user or require a turn-key service we will provide you with the same professionalism throughout. In 2015 we won the Manufacturing award at the prestigious Halifax Business Awards Ceremony. This is mainly due to our commitment to improved quality of products and services and our growth plans for the future. 🔈 Skilled Draftsman required to join our team 🔈

In this role, you will be required to meet with architects and engineers to discuss design concepts, develop product designs, and generate Surface or Solid software models.

Experience working with Solidworks software is advantageous. Other qualities required-
advanced design skills and a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, a top-class Drafter can design and create high-level design models that meet all the specifications of the client.

JOB VACANCIES- Programmer/ Nester

We are currently looking to recruit 2 programmer/ Nester’s. The successful canidates would require a minimum of 3 years experience within an Engineering CNC Programming and nesting role and would be able to demonstrate a competency, through experience, in the production to produce CNC programmes for the company’s laser cutting machines, whilst implementing accurate nesting techniques.

A working knowledge of nesting software packages e.g sigmanest would be an advantage but not essential.

Pay is negotiable.
