The iconic Sunbeam 350hp Blue Bird making it's way off the beach to the display stand before heading home to the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.

Despite a decent drop of rain Sunday we had another great day out, enjoying the usual wonderful hospitality in VIP to the stars themselves ‘the cars’.

It was lovely to meet so many owners happy to tell me about their stories of great finds and racing successes, and the opportunity to wander amongst the thrust of it all in the paddock.

Now, if you know, you know I’m (Lisa) a bit partial to a mini but my faves of the day have to be the Fraser Nash (C&G) lovely to chat to owner Simon, what a fabulous car and my other fancy was the rather large and sexy Facel Vega 🖤.

100 years ago today (21/07/1925), this legendary icon, the Sunbeam 350hp Blue Bird became the first car to break the 150mph barrier on this very beach, Pendine Sands. Pictured in the car is Don Wales, grandson of Major Sir Malcolm Campbell MBE. It was a pleasure and an honour to have a chat with him afterwards. Thank you.

It’s Lisa, I am excited to be heading to this firm fave in my calendar tomorrow, I’ve looked forward to this for a long time, so the rain won’t spoil my day.

I’ll be hoping to see many classics running our pistons, maybe even some of our customers I’ve been speaking to in my 10 months since joining the team.
