JOB OPERTUNITY!!! PERMENANT POSITION!!
Yardman/Stockman and Driver
Pay: £13.20 p/h 40 Hours Per Week
The above roll primarily involves carrying out the general duties of a yardman/stockman with some driving using the company pickup and other vehicles.
Duties to include the following:
1. Racking stock stock rotation appropriate.
2. Loading and unloading customer orders.
3. Loading and unloading galvanizing orders.
4. Responsible for day-to-day workshop jobs such as cutting; bending drilling, painting and rebar cut & bend.
5. Operating of overhead crane and forklift
6. Assist in the workshop with larger fabrication/welding jobs as and when required.
Driver
1. Responsible for the delivery of customer orders using a pickup or other company vehicles, with or without a trailer as and when required. Usually, two half days a week.
2. Ensure loads are properly secured on the company vehicles.
3. Carry out vehicle safety checks before driving the vehicles. Report faults or any safety concerns you may have to the General Manager as soon as possible.
As we are a small team there are times when the role may involve duties other than the above, to meet the demands of the business. Also everyone in the business has a role to play in ensuring the company’s operations; process and procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Clean driving licence
Forklift ticket
Overhead Crane ticket
H&S tickets
Training and CPD will be provided as and when required.
