Today marks the end of an era at Global Hydraulic Services Ltd. 💙
After years of dedicated service, we are saying a bittersweet farewell to not one, but two incredible members of our Global family.
Back in 1989, Tim Harper / John Drury had a vision and from that vision, Global Hydraulic Services was born. What started as a single location grew into three, serving Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Middlesbrough. Over 37 years, Tim built not just a business, but a legacy. His leadership, determination and passion have been the heartbeat of this company from day one and his mark on everything we do will never fade.
Alongside him throughout so much of that journey, Gill Harper, our Accounts Administrator, has been a quiet but vital force behind the scenes - keeping things running, always dependable and bringing warmth to everyone around her.
They say a wise bear always keeps a marmalade sandwich in his hat in case of emergency… and in many ways, that's Tim all over. Always prepared, always steady, always someone you could count on no matter what came through the door.
The fact that Tim and Gill get to close this chapter and start the next one together makes today more special. After everything they have given to this company and the people in it, they more than deserve every moment of what lies ahead.
💬 Tim: "It's been a roller coaster journey, with staff, customers and suppliers becoming personal friends - from nothing, to building a brand that is recognised throughout the Hydraulics Industry. Gill and I will always be about somewhere, and we love helping people so I'm sure we will see everyone at some point.
To my staff, you should be proud of everything we have achieved, because without you Global would not be the company it is today. We are so proud of you all and I'm sure as a team you will go on to do bigger and better things."
Thank you both, from the bottom of our hearts. You will be greatly missed, but we couldn't be prouder or happier for you. 🥂
