Seabed Scour Control Systems (SSCS) Limited was established in 1984 to provide Frond Scour Protection Systems and Services to the Offshore Subsea Oil and Gas Industry. Following an intensive period of product development and on site trials by SSCS and major Offshore Oil and Gas companies, the SSCS Frond Systems were first put to commercial use at new and existing Oil and Gas Develo
pment sites in 1986. These first applications to protect pipelines in the southern sector of the UK North Sea evolved quickly both in terms of the number of pipelines protected, the number of sites at which the SSCS Frond Systems were installed worldwide and the range of applications to include the protection of jack-up drill rigs, subsea structures, platforms, umbilicals and cables. This evolution of the Frond concept also included the use of the Frond Systems in other industry sectors including marine nearshore and inshore civils, submarine power and telecommunications cables, the environmental sector and more recently the renewables energy sector. The SSCS Frond Systems are now also used globally to protect Offshore Wind Farm Installations. SSCS also performs Site Scour Assessment Studies which can be for specific projects related to existing and planned installations, and can provide the basis for the development of maintenance programmes and procedures. Operating as a Division of Seabed Scour Control Systems Ltd since 1993 from our base in Great Yarmouth we combine real expertise with many years of experience. We are not only Manufacturers and Suppliers of Lifting Products but additionally offer a genuine problem solving capability of all Lifting, Lashing and Securing problems. An extensive range of Test Equipment can offer both On-site and a call out service to Inspect, Test and Certify Lifting Equipment and Machinery. We also offer Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Dye Penetrant (DP) and can also offer other forms of NDT. We operate a quality assurance system to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 which is assessed by LRQA and are approved to DNV 2.7-1 for the manufacture of Lifting Slings Assemblies for Offshore Containers as well as being full members of LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association).
