A brief history of writing and the modern alphabet and numbers
1. Mesopotamia (Ancient Iraq) 3200 BC - this ties in with the biblical origins of mankind due to River Tigris, which also ran across the garden of eden
2. Mesoamerica (Ancient South America) 600 BC
3. Eqyptian Hieroglyphs and Numbers - a very significant contribution of the African continent to modern writing and the alphabet
4. Greek Alphabet - a very close predecessor of the English alphabet
5. English Alphabet
Without the contributions of the predecessors of the English Alphabet and Numbers (listed above), the English Alphabet would not exist and this reality carries the following repacautions:
Modern civilisation in its current form would not exist
Human cooperation and progress would be virtually impossible, because there is no common language and numbering to facilitate human communication
Human advancements, innovation, progress and economic prosperity (post the invention of the English Alphabet) would be virtually impossible
The British Empire would not have existed and its impact on civilisation would have been virtually impossible
The global vision behind the English alphabet and its subsequent impact on human civilisation would not be possible without the inspiration, knowledge, guidance and content of its predecessors (including the African contribution)
Industrial revolutions in all English speaking nations would have been virtually impossible and their impact on human civilisation would have also been impossible
Cooperation and communication between English speaking allies in the World Wars would have been impossible and the current outcomes and their implications on human civilisation would not have been guaranteed
The concept of a common human language (both written and spoken) would not have been conceivable or feasible without the listed predecessors of the English alphabet
So what is the sum total of this article? The current state and benefits of human civilisation owes as much as it does to the English Alphabet and Numbers as it should to the contributions of its predecessors (including the African predecessor).
