Must be something in air with 4x4s this past month. We’ve had a record number of pickups in for work including a couple of snapped chassis’s, wheel bearings, clutch’s, fuel pumps, injectors, and prop shafts.

This John Deere tractor had suffered from pick up hitch failure, the mounting plate cracked causing the whole hitch to become detached, the damaged section was cut out and a new piece fabricated from new steel plate and welded in place. Everything straightened, cable repaired and new bolts to secure the hitch in place, the tractor is now back to work.

A life of being around salt water had took its toll on His majesty’s coast guards Nissan Navara, resulting in the standard snapped chassis along with other corrosion issues. It was treated to repaired and strengthened chassis rails, new front tub mounts, new fuel tank and spare wheel crossmembers, new tank straps, full chassis undersealed, new differential pinion seal and oil. Now she’s back ready for action!

Here’s one we finished last week that’s been with us a while. This MG TF is undergoing a full restoration to become a show car, and initially came to us to have all 4 sill corner repair panels welded in. But, then the owner realised all the services we offer and the list of job they wanted doing kept on growing. And we were happy to oblige 👌 the final list of works included…

Full rear subframe change for a galvanised unit.✅
Rear wheel arch repair.✅
New cam belt and water pump.✅
New Clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing.✅
New rear solid brake pipes made in house and new flexis all round.✅
New discs and pads all round.✅
Alternator change.✅
Full rear polly bush kit fitted.✅
Stainless exhaust system fitted.✅
A fresh set of wheels.✅
And finally a full service with all fluids and filters changed. ✅

Now she’s off to the body shop for the next stage of the restoration. We look forward to seeing the finished product in the 2027 show scene. 👌🍻

A nice set of custom gates we recently made to finish off a beautiful garden project. Fabricated in box section to be cladded in wooden boards.
Lockable handles, adjustable hinges with zinc bearings and security collars. And finished with gloss black powder coating.
But I did forget to take a picture of the finished product🤦‍♂️

We’ve been a bit quiet on here lately due to being so busy. But here are just a few things we’ve been up to, and much more to come!

Another recent job, old is gold, this Massey Ferguson industrial is going through a restoration and we were asked to complete the clutch change for the owner, two new clutch plates main and PTO, new pressure plate, new thrust and spigot bearings, new rear crank seal while we were in there, and internal hydraulic filter cleaned. Now ready for the next step of the restoration. 👌

The vehicles are never ending lately, 7.5 ton tipper ring gear replacement, Isuzu trooper ball joints, anti roll bar links and cv boot, transit discs and pads.
