I am always excited and inspired when I hear about the generosity of local people and businesses. I was happy to recognise another local company and their staff for some brilliant fundraising. Thank you Kigtek Solutions Ltd for your brilliant donation to PSPA, who support people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).

Massive congratulations to all of the Kigtek team for successfully finishing 4th in the Incredible Journey race from Lands End to John O'Groats. Everyone put in a fantastic effort and we crossed the finish line just 15 days into the challenge!

By finishing in the top 5 teams Kigtek have won £500 for a charity of choice. We are delighted to announce the charity receiving our donation will be PSPA - Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association. PSPA is a national charity providing support and information to people living with PSP and CBD, while funding research into treatments and ultimately a cure. They aim to improve the lives of everyone affected by PSP and CBD and rely entirely on voluntary donations. This charity was nominated by team member Pamela and it just so happens this week is PSP Awareness Week.

Once again congratulations to all of the team (most of whom are pictured below) and thank you to all involved in the organisation of the event, we look forward to the next challenge!

On Friday we said an official goodbye to John Matheson who served as our electrical services manager for 8 years. John was integral to the establishment and growth of Kigtek Electrical and its apprenticeship programme and we are grateful for his hard work and dedication. His straight talking, quick wit will be missed by all in the office and on site, but we are delighted he has passed on the baton to his son Alex who has successfully and easily filled the role.

Our MD Gordon sums it up well:
‘John’s hard work, dedication and focus on high quality workmanship have been at the core of what makes Kigtek Electrical successful and importantly these are the attributes he has instilled in the team he leaves behind. We wish John well in is well deserved retirement.’
