Killer collaboration courtesy of from two SA heavyweights: Cape Town’s Okzharp (Hyperdub / Keysound) meets Durban’s King Maceeyar!

“The relationship between King Maceeyar & Okzharp took shape via one of the WhatsApp groups where young S African Gqom producers share their tunes. Via Okzharp, this was the original catalyst for the track ‘Our Memories’ being included on MAL’s ‘Pressure II’ comp, but mid last year King sent Okzharp some demos which formed the foundations of this collaboration.

The project files were actually lost when King’s laptop died but the limitations of working with the surviving MP3’s ended up sparking some interesting results!

This tape is a collage of those tracks mixed with field recordings from some of King’s hangouts, along with snippets from an interview done over voice notes

Some of these tracks have a very recognisable Gqom palette in the percussion, but King has quite a distinct musical fingerprint and it quite often creates a melodic mix that’s melancholy, yet strangely epic at the same time”

Rubadub is proud to present this uncovered early-90s transmission from Heinrich Mueller (Drexciya / Arpanet  / Dopplereffekt etc.) under his Intellitronic alias. The lead track “Pixel” has only ever appeared on the Magic Tracks (Deep Detroit Volume Two) CD compiled by Juan Atkins in 1993, whilst the rest remained unreleased, until now.

Four tracks of stripped-back machine funk referencing pre-millennium printing technology.

Ever wanted to send individual tracks in your Digitakt / Digitone out to separate processing or effects units without effecting your entire stereo mix? Well.... now you can with the Outbox 8!

Outbox 8 adds eight fully configurable outputs to your setup. Each one is independently assignable to audio or CV. Send stems to your mixer. Convert MIDI into pitch, gate, trig, or clock to drive your modular rig. Or mix and match across all eight, however the moment calls for. It’s not just for Elektron either: Outbox 8 also works as an 8-output USB audio interface for your computer, tablet, or phone, and as a standalone MIDI-to-CV converter for any class-compliant controller.

Two of the most innovative proponents of sound system-forward music collide on this powerful 12” presented by our friends ❗️

has a history steeped in Jungle & bass pressure, recently twisting Grime & late-90s Techstep into new forms for labels like Peak Oil, and his LP Municipal Dreams is one of our fav albums of the past decade.

The Filipino / BC crew are a law unto their own when it comes contemporary sound system music, blending their roots in turntablism & hip hop with their love for reggae and dancehall into amorphous, psychedelic dubscapes, yet always ready to rock a tougher approach when the dance calls for it!

On Muzikon, these two unique approaches are an ideal combination: the worn tape, FX heavy signature of SKRS meet the razor sharp techniod sounds of L.E.A. Huge tip!
