When Lebanese musician & sound artist Joy Moughanni dropped in cassette copies of his debut album on a visit to Glasgow in 2025, we were pretty blown away by it. An arresting mix of collage and innovative sound design, “Separation From Habit” is inextricably linked to Moughanni’s homeland, made during a time of devastation and grief. The album has now been pressed to vinyl, at a time when the heart of this work is perhaps more relevant than ever. It’s a stunning record that comes with the highest recommendations!

BIG NEWS! We’re honoured to be the only stockists of Sixth Garden Records releases outside of a few select stores in Japan. The fourth installment in their popular tape series is brought to you by none other than the legendary G Version III! This tape showcases a tougher, more acidic side to her sound, heavily influenced by the UK Roots / Steppers sounds of Earthquake, The Disciples, Aba Shanti-I etc. This 50-minute tape is a selection and mix of only tracks from G Version III, including previously unreleased recordings from last year’s “Tokyo DUB ATTACK.” All totally HEAVYWEIGHT & KILLER!

IMPORTANT INFO:

Tonight (28.05) the shop will re-open at 10pm to host the Boards of Canada Inferno Sessions at 35 Howard Street, Glasgow. It’s important to note that our shop is a small one, and we can only fit 45 people MAX at a time due to health & safety reasons. If you’re planning on heading down, we would ask you to cue on the east side of the shop running alongside the corner shop next door (whilst trying to avoid blocking the entrance to our neighbours who are open until 11pm). Entry will operate on a strictly first-come-first-served basis, and there is ultimately no guarantee of entry. The goodie bags will be doled out on the same basis, whilst stocks last.
