A project which involved a complex roof raise is now complete with the next phase of the project starting imminently.

In May, we reported how AJE had secured more work as part of a £67m upgrade to GlaxoSmithKline’s Montrose site.

And although it has been a complicated project, the team are on track to meet the client’s delivery date with the plant installation into the building below being completed.

The AJE team have been working on the Dounreay site for several years now carrying out upgrades to the existing Steam Generator Building (SGB). We’re delighted to have been awarded a further contract of works which will see us stripping and replacing the cladding on several elevations at the site.

For those who don’t know, the Dounreay Nuclear Restoration Site is in a very exposed part of the UK near Thurso where the weather is challenging. The AJE team has done a fantastic job so far with the previous scopes and we’re very grateful for NRS Dounreay trusting us with another large scope of works

Neighbour’s new showroom progressing well – with image of the Keith Builders site.
In just two months, the new Keith Builders Showroom project is taking shape, with it progressing exceptionally well.
Groundworks are advancing both internally and externally, steelwork er****on is nearing completion, and cladding installation is set to begin shortly. Following this, the team will move into the final fit-out phase of the facility.

AJE was on the ball on recently when it hosted a successful Sponsors Day at Forres Mechanics Football Club, bringing together players and families from the Forres Mechanics Youth Development programme and Forres Girls Football. ⚽

Graham Alexander has attended RSK’s Executive Conference which promoted the Group’s aspirations and strategic initiatives for the year ahead.
Graham also met with fellow Managing Directors and executive colleagues from across the group’s businesses.
The visit began with an awards gala and continued the next day with the conference which included presentations, including a group update from Alan Ryder, open Q&A and a series of smaller workshops/plenary sessions.

AJ Engineering is once again throwing its weight behind the Forres Highland Games with infrastructure support, sponsorship and advertising.

The Games will take place this Saturday.

The Forres Highland Games is now in its 98th year and for many years AJE has supported the Games committee in the run up to the day by offering machinery and manpower to help move equipment around Grant Park where the Games takes place. AJ Engineering also takes an advert in the programme and sponsors the Scots Hammer North of Scotland Championship.

Last year, AJE played an integral role in providing the Games’ storage shed with a new roof. (SEE IMAGE)
