I have been reminded that yesterday (22 April) was the sixty seventh anniversary of the launch of the Triumph Herald. Our 948 saloon chassis number G11 was built over a month before that launch on the 19 March 1959. A lovely 'time warp' unrestored example that is still a joy to drive.

A short bumpy drive in a works Spitfire rally car from a few years ago. With the weather on the change it will be soon time to start exercising our, and Bill Bradleys collections of works rally, race, and prototype Triumphs. If you like this we might film a few more in the future, and perhaps I might buy a suitable camera mount!

The Courier has taken a proper caning this winter, I'm glad the worst of it (hopefully!) is nearly over. If it wasn't for the constant rain adding to the numerous rust scabs that have appeared on the bodywork, then its the assault course of massive potholes the poor thing faces every day. I find myself going through that muscle memory thing before my drive into work downhill skiers must go though before a run, you know pre planning your journey to avoid the holes of doom from the previous days experience. One of the downsides of running a Triumph as your only transport is the constant maintenance they require, and the inevitable bodywork always looming on the horizon. The Courier is reaching that stage, a minor body restoration is on the cards. Its a good job we have everything a Herald owner would ever need in our stores!

It never ceases to amaze! We are collecting another production run of these in the morning from our machine shop. Richard has mentioned that it takes the total to 1,850 made, and sold in the last twenty years! Does that mean that nearly 2,000 cars have been converted to overdrive, or a good proportion of them were replacing lost ones? I can't see them ever wearing out, or being damaged, so where are they all going! We sell the vast majority of them to trade, but if you need one (from tomorrow!) use this link; https://www.canleyclassics.com/?canvas=home&ptno=153515

Stanpart New Old Stock Herald bonnet top panels. Only a few left, this might be your last chance to build a completely new bonnet! Part number is Herald 1200, but its equally feasible to use these in a 948, 12/50, Courier bonnet build. To clear at this price as there is slight surface rust on some of them from 60 years of storage. Prefer collection, but contact us for the possibility of sending them out by carrier.

One for the racers. Quick release steering wheel upper steering column, and hub. A direct replacement for the upper column fitted to the majority of small chassis Triumphs (Spitfire, GT6, Herald, Vitesse, etc), and some other marques that use Triumph steering components. If you have another marque and are unsure as to compatibility then the overall length is 420mm, and the diameter is 19mm. Fits all solid centred 3 bolt fixing (setscrews included) racing steering wheels. Avoid having to adapt your column with dodgy welded on adaptors with this quality replacement. The same thing available elsewhere for over £75 more, so money to be saved! UK mainland postage £10.

I come to the rescue again!

Why a limited slip diff is useful in the snow. A couple of days ago the Vitesse with a l*d was fun in the snow. This morning I struggled to get the Courier (without slipper) through the gate into the car park.
