An example of how LITH-TECH will adapt wheelchairs to fit different shapes, sizes and disability

Marians family came to us as they needed a lightweight folding Powerchair for their 39 year daughter who is just 3ft. This type of product does not exist as standard anywhere in the world.

I said come in and we will give it ago and see what we can do.

They are seeing if the wheelchair services will help fund it. So we did the assessment and demo with success and this is the letter the family are forwarding onto the NHS/Wheelchair services.

This is the type of thing LITH-TECH can and will do for its customers so they get the right solution as quickly as possible. Without the nhs kicking up a fuss or delaying the process in any way (which as we all know they are famous for)

Face is blanked out as the family requested this for social media or reference purposes.

Hi Saad

Nice to meet Marian and you guys today.

The LITH-TECH mini is a dedicated chair for a smaller individual or child.
It will suit anyone from 3ft with adaptations to 5ft in height.

This is the Only Folding Powerchair in the whole world that can suit someone that is 3ft and 25kg.

Marian came into LITH-TECH who are the UK's leading Folding Powerchair Specialist on the 09/10/2026 for a full consultation, professional fitting/assessment and Demo of said chair by Toby St George CEO of LITH-TECH

The chair set up Marian would need is

LITH-TECH MINI
SPEED 10 ACC 3 - RIGHT HAND SET UP
STANDARD CUSHION WITH BACKREST TOPPER (to get her arms and hands in the right position and height for the joystick)
A WRAP AROUND BACK PLUS BACKREST INSERT (To bring her further forward in the chair so she has full thigh support and can reach the joystick with no compromises)
WE THEN FLIPPED THE FOOTPLATE (To bring it 6 inches higher)
The footplate will modified and shortened and be on a quick release pin system, for ultra quick removal.
We will add a rubber antislip footplate pad ontop of the footplate, and angle it slightly back this will help to pin her back in the chair and keep her feet where they need to be.

CHAIR PRICE £2500 - ADAPTATIONS/LABOUR, ADDITIONAL CUSHIONING AND RUBBER FOOTPLATE PAD FOR FREE

Extras to be paid for by customer
Flip out mini armrest table £20.00
Side bag £15
Detachable Bag £25

The above items will not be in the quote as they are not deemed essential.

Attached is an official LITH-TECH quote and pics of customer for NHS/Wheelchair service reference.

A must watch for any Folding Powerchair Owner. This video by LITH-TECH Mobility demonstrates how to maintain your wheelchair from home. This will help you save money and most importantly make it fit for purpose and safe.

* ALL YOU NEED IS SOMEONE - who knows how to use very basic tools - FRIEND, PARTNER maybe a NEIGHBOUR

*Remember - if you use your wheelchair everyday or like a work horse it will require more frequent maintenance. Same with user weight, the heavier one is the more frequently things should be looked at. A larger weight will put far more wear and tear on a wheelchair.
Just like a car or bike everything needs maintaining and looking after, even more so with a wheelchair as it’s essentially your legs.

Hope you find this video useful - and if you do please like and subscribe to our page. We also have the world’s largest dedicated folding electric wheelchair YouTube channel with nearly 200 videos and almost 3 million views. Please follow RAVE ABLE on instagram and tick-tock.

With her permission I created a little mash up video of some of my favourite videos of her out raving at various events and festivals.

Going through all of her videos last night and seeing how she tackles life and her positive outlook brought a tear to my eye a number of times.
It really does show though how a decent wheelchair mixed with a positive outlook means life doesn’t have to stop.

Winning smile, and a true inspiration and legend - keep on raving 😝

Part 6 - tackling a steep grassy bank under weight

The LITH-TECH MINI (child’s or smaller person Folding Powerchair)

3 adults aging from 22 up to 40 years old.
All with three very different weights, 60, 70 and 80kg
And all with completely different driving experience take on the LITH-TECH mini in 5 different tests / scenarios

Remember when it comes to wheelchairs the lighter you are the easier they are to use. So if an 80kg adult can handle a childs 18kg chair then a child weighing 20kg-50kg is going to handle and control it far far easier.

This video is just about having a laugh, there is some poor driving, a couple of crashes and abit of banter - basically a typical LITH-TECH video.

We have the largest educational folding Powerchair YouTube channel in the uk so make sure you like and subscribe to our YouTube channel where we put out 1-2 videos every week.
