The Oyster 885GT has finished the Rolex Middle Sea Race completing its first offshore race. The yacht, which was designed with the help of Marine Rigging Services, is an example of using a solid design and adding performance upgrades to achieve a truly multipurpose fast cruising yacht.

The yacht is also fully equipped with Marlow Ropes MGP textile rigging package from MRS as well as KZ Racefurlers and DOYLE SAILS . It is also packed with load sensing from Cyclops Marine which allows the crew to monitor loads and optimise sail and rig setup.

Following this successful first offshore race, the owners plan to cruise for the summer then off to the Caribbean to take on some more races where this GT will really be able demonstrate what it can do

A successful week comes to an end in Spain for some of the team with the stepping of this Hall Spars mast on an Oyster Yachts 885 following a complete rig refit. More details on that to follow.

A fresh set of custom Mreels prepped and ready for dispatch from the workshop.

Congratulations to Team Callisto on securing Gold in IRC Zero at the Round the Island Race.

Following her recent full refit, this legendary racetrack provided the ultimate test to cap off her first week of sea trials on the new platform.

Seeing the setup dialled in and delivering top performance under race conditions is exactly the result we work towards. Huge credit to the entire race crew and shore team for the late nights and precise preparation it took to pull this off in style.

Congratulations to Peter Harrison’s Jolt team for winning their class in the IMA European championship in Sorrento, Italy.

MRS have been working with the team for the last couple of years providing rigging services and textiles. We’re incredibly proud to have been part of the winning combination.

The team now go onto the Sardinia Cup where they will defend their Admirals Cup win from last year.

A recent batch of dog bone connectors completed in the rigging bay.

Every stage of this build was handled entirely in-house by our team. By keeping the measuring, assembly, and final close-out in our own hands, we maintain the uncompromising exactness required for these critical components.
