About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high quality fabricated components, working from technical drawings, and undertaking welding to industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in their workmanship and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
• Fabricate and weld components to required specifications and tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
• Operate workshop machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct MIG welding and fabricating as required.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets company and industry standards.
• Work to production deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with H&S requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
Essential Criteria
• Proven experience as a fabricator/welder in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship.
• Competent in MIG welding.
• Good understanding of workshop safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable Criteria
• Coded welding qualifications.
• At least 2 years fabrication experience.
• Experience working in a busy fabrication/production environment.
