I have recently graduated from the University of Dundee in June 2016 with a Masters in Architecture with Merit and I am currently looking for work as a part 2 Architectural Assistant. I am driven and ambitious, and have a real passion for architecture – constantly looking for opportunities and inspiration to use within my designs. Travelling and working abroad have given me invaluable experience o
f different styles of architecture and allowed me to embrace different cultures, and I believe this is key to continuing architectural development. I believe that Architecture should be about the people and the way in which they interact with their environment. Architecture doesn’t need to be overpowering: there is an elegance in subtlety. By playing with light and textures, spaces can constantly change and evoke a variety of atmospheres. This encourages users to really engage with spaces on a sensory level. First and foremost I always aim to design with the users in mind, and try to remove the ego from architecture. I don’t believe architecture should be designed for the esoteric; we should be designing not for other architects but for the end users.
