Our latest case study for the first phase of The Cabrach Distillery project explores how careful structural and fabric investigation, a new roof and clerestory arrangement, and a considered material palette allowed a collection of 18th and 19th-century farm steadings to become a working community distillery in north-east Scotland.

Proud to share our work on Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith, one of the first Passivhaus certified social housing projects in Scotland.

Our structural engineering focused on minimising thermal bridging and maintaining airtightness throughout; from loadbearing insulation foundations to deep timber stud walls and a carefully detailed thermal envelope. The result: homes designed for nearly zero operational carbon.
